“Left 4 Dead 2″ Sells $2.9 Million

Electronic Arts have recently announced their $82 million dollars lost during the last quarter. However, the company has lost over $641 million dollars the same quarter a year back. In other words, they are certainly improving on their retail sales. Much of their ‘success’ or ‘improvements’ this year is based on their best selling games “Left 4 Dead 2″ and “Dragon Age: Origins”, which sold $2.9 million and $2.7 million respectively.

Nicholas Puleo of co-optimus.com wrote, “It’s good to see sales of the four player co-op shooter selling well, despite some misgivings about the timing of a sequel to last year’s co-op game of the year. EA is looking to have a solid next quarter and is well on the way there with Mass Effect 2 selling over 2 million copies in its first two weeks alone. Sprinkle in some Army of Two: The 40th Day for good measure and that ship might just be headed in the right direction.”
