So Ubisoft’s “Splinter Cell: Conviction” multiplayer game is coming up and you want to know whether or not it’s worth it to buy the game? For “Splinter Cell” franchise fans – rest assured. How about we say “rest assured” for the new gamers who may want to get their hands on the game? Here is a clue: Like zombie shooter multiplayer game “Left 4 Dead”? Ubisoft has recently said that “Splinter Cell” is heavily inspired by Valve’s “Left 4 Dead”.
Game creator Patrick Redding described how the game came into fruition. He said, “A lot of my own personal feelings about co-operative play in Conviction were strongly influenced by the campaigns in Ghost Recon, Gears of War 2 and Left 4 Dead – it’s just trying to find ways to encourage players to work together without necessarily forcing them to by making them jump through the bottle neck.”
Matthew Razak of Destructoid.com wrote, “Those are some pretty big names to be tossing out there. Hopefully he isn’t just tossing them around to garner a headline and some press and they actually took heed to what works so well in the co-op in those games.”
