Bring Out Your Dead Left 4 Dead Photograph Contest

Bring Out Your Dead Left 4 Dead Photograph Contest
WINNERS BELOW!

First place

First place winner

Congratulations to Nathan "JediDwag" H. for winning first place! The picture was taken on Saturday, October 18 in Gold Medal Park in Minneapolis around 4:00PM. The event was the Zombie Pub Crawl IV - Spawn of the Dead. Nathan is the one in the front holding the L4D box art and the nerf gun, and his friends are on the right with the trench coat and baseball bat.

It's a great picture with some great looking zombies, clowns, and ladies. There were estimated to be 1500 zombies at the event, but only so many could fit in the picture even with the panoramic! Good job getting all the zombies to do the Left 4 Dead salute, it really made this picture stand out. Nathan and his buddies win four copies of Left 4 Dead, four shirts and four hats.

Second place

Second place winner

Second place goes to Jeff L. and his friends from Seattle, Washington. He tells the story:

On our final strike against the zombie invasion, we found ourselves surrounded near a local baseball field. We quickly found the highest ground we could to give ourselves the best chance at survival. We soon realized that this would be our final minutes amongst the living so we made sure we showed our love for Left4Dead by flashing the sign right before we were eaten alive.

Great shot, four survivors fighting the zombies.

Third place

Third place winner

Third place goes to David S., the guy with the long hair, green shirt, red sunglasses and crowbar. David took this picture at the NYC Zombie Crawl on World Zombie Day.

Between the video camera, crowbar, and Hello Kitty bag, how could we say no? He's smiling because he's about to crack some skulls. Nice job David.

Everybody else

We'd like to thank everybody that took the time to enter. We had many worthy entries and our choice with the winners came down to wanting a variety of different types represented.

RULES

What?

Photograph yourself in front of a zombie horde holding up the L4D salute or box art and if it's good enough you'll win four copies of Left 4 Dead for you and your friends!

The bigger the zombie horde is the better your chances of winning.

Where do I find a zombie horde?

They're everywhere! Zombie walks are taking place all around the world the next few weekends. World Zombie Day is on Sunday, October 26th, 2008!

If you're in college, it's possible that there could be a Humans vs. Zombies game going on.

If you live nowhere near any of these places, get together a group of your friends!

If you have no real life friends, bug one of your e-friends that lives close to a zombie walk to take a picture for you without telling him why and reap the benefits!

When?

Submissions have to be mailed to squerl@left4dead411.com by Midnight November 1st (11:59PM PST 11/01/2008)

Winners will be announced on November 4th, 2008.

What do I win?

The top three photographs (judged by Left 4 Dead 411) will receive prizes:

First Place:
Four copies of Left 4 Dead on Steam, four early access demo keys, four Left 4 Dead shirts, and four Left 4 Dead hats

Second Place:
Four early access demo keys, four Left 4 Dead shirts

Third Place:
Four early access demo keys, four Left 4 Dead hats

Disclaimer: Not everybody that enters will win.

What are you judging on?

There MUST be proof that you're taking the picture for this contest:

1) Have someone do the Left 4 Dead salute (see box art)
2) Print out some L4D box art and hold it up in the picture. (picture of box art here)

As stated earlier, the more zombies the better. There is no specific criteria for the judging, whatever jumps out at us!
