So the steam friend system won't let people message each other. Anybody know whats going on?

Friends is down right now. It just went down too in like the last 5 minutes.

when I logged in just half an hour ago, it was acting as though i was logged in offline, but my status was online.

all my friends except one are offline with no time of when they were last logged in. then it thought i was a bot when i tried loggin into my community account. gave some stupid error message of "Cannot Confirm Humanity". there was no human input visual securtiy code thingy.

going to test L4D now just in case.

It kicked me a while ago. It was doing something to the server. I exited steam and started it and it had an update and worked fine.

Yeah, servers are fine, I could talk with people in lobby and just played a game. But I can't message people and get a response.
I exited steam and started it and it had an update and worked fine.
Restarting did nothing for me.
