Regarding a comment I saw on Youtube.

I was browsing some Left 4 Dead videos on Youtube when I saw someone say that each character gets different amounts of horde..

So like Bill gets the biggest zombie hordes, then francis then louis and zoey gets the smallest amount. Personally I think its bullshit and not true, and thought it was a stupid comment. I asked him about it and he said that it was infact true but didnt say where he heard it from.

So is it true? If you play Zoey and kill the other Bots do you get smaller amounts of Zombies?

I have noticed that Zoey almost always takes the least damage, anybody else notice this? Even when I play as her I tend to come out with close to the least damage, and when I play as Bill I take WAY WAY WAY more damage. Hit boxes? AI targeting? Not sure.

Oh and I'm fairly certain that the AI survivors have different scripts, that make them more likely to do certain things. Like healing more teamates and staying in back more, but that doesn't account for me taking less damage when playing as Zoey.

So.. you made a thread on the forums because of a comment you saw on youtube? I understand the consept of what you're thinking and it may seem that the characters get diferent hordes. But it doesn't matter at all who you are, it all depends on the difficulty level.

I doubt coincidence has that much to do with it, are the player hitboxes different? Or do the zombie hits even use hitboxes? I guess we wont really know for sure til the SDK. Could be healing lol, but even when im playing solo, Zoey takes less damage, every single time, without failure, maybe once or twice she has taken more. But thats like rolling a dice and it almost always lands on 6, that shit is weighted.

its all likely that zoey takes less FF because her head on the model is just that much smaller. the smaller the head, the less likely ou are to hit it when you go for a headshot when you mistkae her for a zombie. plus, she's the only female with a ponytail in the game. if it has long free hair, or short hair, its likely a zombie.

meanwhile Bill's pea green shirt looks like a dirty infected's jacket. many times I've mistaken bill for a hunter or smoker. oh wait... he IS a smoker.
