Anybody know a model that's durable and capable of running programs like the Adobe Suite, FL studio and Lightwave? I don't care about form factor or weight. Hell, it could take a loading crane to lift for all I care.
Current budget is 800 dollars. It could go higher, though.

I doubt that you will find a new tablet PC for that price ... this guy is not recommending cheap models http://www.upenn.edu/computing/arch/standards/tabl et-current.html (http://www.upenn.edu/computing/arch/standards/tablet-current.html) but $800 does not even get you a "decent" spec laptop (let alone a tablet PC)
Estimated prices with 3 year service plans = $1,950 - $2,6504

Wacom=you going broke
I have always wanted to work with art on the computer, but with those prices I would rather use a mouse...

Considering that Art, Literature and language is going to be my livelihood, a good and durable tablet is what I need. As well as a laptop. I've been thinking about one of the Toughbook convertibles, but the prices may make a pushing to the limit needed. And I would never use a mouse to draw; it's strictly a gaming device... plus my new mouse pad is so smooth and frictionless that mistakes are inevitable.
Well... I guess it's time to get a better job. Bullocks to fast food! Retail, here I come! Nothing better than being a clerk. Not at food places, though. At places like bookstores or videogame stores. The less customers the more peace.
