Team Fortress 2 bluescreen >.<

Okay so I was able to play the game two nights ago. It randomly started bluescreening whenever i try and join a server now. I reinstalled the game, defragmented everything, ran virus scans, and reinstalled nvidia driver 178.24 but still nothing has worked. Any ideas?

Tried playing other games ? If it still bluescreens then you got yourself a hardware problem.

It could also be your Graphics card getting overheated.

Have you even looked inside your computer ?

Left 4 Dead runs flawlessly and it seems to be more hardware demanding. I just blew a shitload of dust out of my case, and did a driver cleaner so I'm going to test it soon. Doesn't seem to be overheating from what my PC Probe tells me.

Hmmm... okay... I rarely ever blue screen, that's the biggest mystery there.

Restarted computer
Don't oc
Defragmented
AV'd...

I have noticed in Left 4 Dead video settings theres things like Anisotropic or whatever video settings that aren't the same as on Team Fortress where it has it set to none as recommended. I'm running off 1024 MB of RAM, and my page pool memory is set to low on left 4 dead.

Video settings shouldn't fuck it up, nothing should. And you've tried a bunch of servers? The one you went to could have had some shitty files.

A sensible person like yourself would have done everything I would have thought, so I won't ask you anymore questions, it would probably wouldn't help... I think I only BSOD'd once during a game... and that was because of some kind of ram overload in garry's mod.

Okay, so I tried the exact same server I was playing on on Friday and still got bluescreened. I'm gonna try and check the specific message the bluescreen gives me if I can figure out how to stop it instead of it just flashing.

I had a DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
and I read it is a Page Pool Memory error and I followed some steps and hopefully fized it.

For sure hombre. Apparently since I have 1024 MB of RAM i'm supposed to have my page pool set to 1536 max and min for it to work, but it was defaulted at 1536 min and 3025 max, so i changed it and now imma see if it worked.
