yea its sunday morning and i been playing Vs all morning. and i have yet to play with anyone with a mic who is over the age of 12. i know we all say that all these kids that sound young are 12, but seriously this isnt a lie. you know how 7-8 year old have a speech problem where their r's sounds like w's? i played a game with a mic whore who had that problem.

then i had another ask me what difficulty the game was on, mind you we were on Vs.

seriously, how do parents let their kids play these games?

Kinda funny, when xbox live came out for the first xbox, I didn't want to play because I didn't want to play with "the big kids", I would've been like 10 or 11 at the time. These kids now have no sense of their own age, and obnoxiousness.

(My friends and I made a group for good L4D players, and we have a kick noob ass-fest every weekend) Turns out his little brother went onto his computer. So not only did we lose, we had to hear him the entire way through.

Good thing there are cheats for getting rid of kids.

This one is very simple to follow. Hit the back button and highlight the selected player's name, hit X, and get all of your teammates except him to hit start. If done right, he'll be gone!

Not too many people who complain about this seem to know this cheat....

I did play a game of Left 4 Dead with a nine year old once. He was capable enough, he had a mic but didn't use it constantly. Aside from the fact that he shouldn't have been playing the game in the first place given that he was to young he was an able enough assistant in the zombie apocalypse.

The thing is that most of the immature types in games, the griefers, the hackers, the mic-spamers; most of these are in the age range of 16-18. Some are my age. Some are older. Very few are 12 or younger so I don't quite know why 12 year-olds get the official title of "annoying gamer". Aside from their comically high voices there's really not too much wrong with them.

I was put on a team with some children yesterday, they kept saying "DUDE KILL ME SO I CAN BECOME A ZOMBIE", then after I said "We have to try and complete the level at least for the other teams sake." They all went to the gas station and blew the fuck out of each other.
Parents shouldn't let their kids have Xbox live AND games for teens and up, one or the other. >.<

It's just the way life is sometimes, kids these days love games with violence and gore. We need to blame society for that. I'm working on having some kids myself and to be honest, I'll probably end up letting them play my 360 at a early age, because it's something we can do together.

Do I like teaming with kids? Hell no.

Both of my sons are UNDER 12 and play on Xbox Live, and they are completely courteous and professional when dealing with others. We usually play together as 3/4 of a team, and they know what I won't tolerate. As for their ability, well, come play against us sometime. For the most part little kids are a pain. How parents let their kids play L4D is beyond me. It's also beyond me to presume to tell people how to raise their kids. That being said most of my regular team members are under 16. They are all good players along with being a well mannered group. I figure if they behave the way they do online all the time there is no reason why parents shouldn't allow their kids to play this game.
I give everyone a chance. From no-micers to little kids. Some of the pre-teens though annoying turn out to be decent players. If you can suffer through the shrill voices and give them a real chance you might find that they're pretty effective team members.
*I'm not on my home computer so my post is most likely rife with spelling errors (no SC on this comp). I realize my spelling sucks you don't need to point it out to me. Please stay on topic. (Why don't I need this type of disclaimer on L4D.com? Think about it)
