Me and a few skilled friends have been working on developing a Left 4 Dead RPG. It's still in heavy production but you can get the exclusives and find out more info at the website.

It's being developed currently.

It's going to be a standalone original game.

Uhm... considering it took a long time for people to even create custom campaigns, I'm not sure what to think about a l4d RPG. You will also need the rights to use their images and content and intellectual property. Good luck, make sure you get the rights or make sure your original content isn't registered as "Intellectual Property".

we have added pictures and animations for the hunter and smoker.

It's named L4DRPG, and it calls the characters by name.

If they tried to sell it, they could have problems, afaik; otherwise they should be fine.

I've seen a million mods like this where the developers have genuinley great ideas, which all go to pot when they realise just how long it would take to make and also how INCREDIBLY bloody hard it will be to implement and get the rights to it as Riley has mentioned.

All power to you guys, but you really should only begin advertising it when you've got some basic coding/maps/new campaign rough and ready and you're at least 50% positive you'll ever complete it.

Anyhow, I hope it does get made, sounds pretty interesting :D
