View Full Version : Tank Improvement

This has been bugging me for a while: the tank's throws are all the same. All of the concrete throws are thrown at the same speed, and this makes the tank be at a slight disadvantage. I think that the tank's throws should have some sort of meter that allows you to adjust how hard he will throw slabs of earth. Imagine this, being able to throw giant slabs of concrete from a building at 100 MPH to the survivors going down the stairs to the Safe Room in No Mercy Apartments. Or, in the warehouse of NM: Sewers, being able to lob the concrete over the shelves of boxes. This is just my idea on how to make the Tank a little bit more deadly.... anyone agree?

You want to make the TANK more powerful???? Are you kidding me???
Ah, why the hell not

Erm, nah. Tanks can own with practice, timing and brains. Got All 4 Dead so many times its not funny against publics. So no, the tank is just about right I think...

Hm, why not? Like doing a more powerfull throw the timer to throw again resets slower than a normal throw!
Not a must have, but it would make the tank more diversified (I hope this is gramaticaly correct for those who like to criticize posts of others lol)!

Nah, far too complicated. Maybe the slab should do more damage in relation to the vertical component of its trajectory to allow for gravity. Tank is solid already though. A good idea would be to make it run a little faster when on fire, as I think most things would, for a short while anyway.

I think the throw meter, running slightly faster when on fire, or maybe even the damage compared to distance thrown are good ideas. I just dont ever see a reasonable chance to throw rocks since they dont do that much damage and Im usually inside places. Compared to the punchable objects for the instant caps.

I wouldn't change the tank.
While it's slightly off topic I with the boomer's vomit was more gravity sensitive. For example, I don't care if I'm on the roof of the tallest building, I still expect to be able to vomit down.
If they are on the other side of a train I want to arch over it.
Stuff like that.
