Alright, so I understand the update may be a little shifty for the xb360, especially for No Mercy, but here's the weird thing that happened to my friends and myself.
We've been playing for at least a good 4-5 hours on boxes, accounts, and games that have been updated and without much trouble as far as technical stuff goes. We're facing this team that was just awful and we've been beating the crap out of them, when we finally come to No Mercy 3.
All of a sudden, we're having a difficult time beating these guys. Hunters can't jump on them, and for some reason our smoker wasn't doing any drag damage. They get to the door that was supposedly fixed, and it turns out to be... well, breakable. They managed to break it down by--you guessed it--fast punching (switch, punch, switch, punch). The game goes on and we get to be Infected in No Mercy 4. The only thing that really stands out here is that they managed to stand behind the witch and not get torn up (just like before the update).
Now here's where it gets freakin' weird. Those guys wind up leaving the game. I don't know why. My friends and I get really curious as to how those glitches were still in effect and try three different scenarios.
First we tried Versus with three survivors and one infected. They get to the door and actually fast-punch it down. They stand behind the witch and don't get torn up. Okay, that's odd.
Then we tried Campaign with a new server with all four survivors, no AI, and STILL could break down the door and do the witch glitch. After that we did versus to test out the smoker again. I dragged someone and actually did drag damage. Also in this third Versus, they couldn't break down the door.
My question is why did this happen? Even more complex is that in No Mercy 1 and 2, everything was normal as if the Update was just fine. No Mercy 3 was pretty much void of any update. We don't switch servers for every map, right?
For side reference, the time was at 2am central time just this morning 3/8/09.
