If you are of the Total War persuasion (which I am, I love my Med 2) then you are gonna be so stoked by this:

Mmm... that is the sexah. Sea battles have traditionally been the worst part of TW games. Good to see them switching things up.

DEMO FTW. Game is amazing, although it is very irritating that the load times are so long I actually thought the demo was broken. If it takes my 17 minutes to get to the main menu, and yet there is no lag in game, then its the games fault, not my computer. Game play is amazingly fun though, SHIP BATTLES FTW

I hear Empire is running better than Medieval 2 on higher settings because Empire was made to take advantage of dual cores while Medieval 2 wasn't.

i got a quad core clocked at 3.8 GHz and it takes 1m 30sec to load a map... this is stupidly long considering games like FEAR 2 take under 5 secounds to load ARGHHH

But on another note the game is fcuking imense

what is a demo supposed to do? It is supposed to color my opinion of the final product. And my impressions so far are, great game, runs good on my system on near max settings, however the horrid load times just to get into the tutorials is a huge turn off. I think I'll get it tho, just for the hell of it. I've always been a fan of the total war series

I think hes implying that obviously the game will be patched in the future and hopefully optimized for lower end machines.

I love Total War, I already have this one preordered but I haven't tried the demo what with Dawn of War 2 being out.

CA's beta testers have brought the loading problem up with CA and CA says in the final build of the game it will have 'normal' loading time. The issue has already been fixed.
