View Full Version : LCD TV is Dead, Long live my NEW LCD

Ok, my Sanyo Vizion TV, DP 26746 just DIED, I'm also going out of town for a week, but I will have time to shop in my hometown.

I like LCD, I want to spend $600 Canadian, $500 US, 1080dpi, may go as big as a 32". What do you suggest?

Let's see, 1080p is only useful 42" and larger. And usually they don't cost so cheap, 500 bucks for 1080p? I wish, and if I'm wrong, I'll love whoever finds that cheap of a tv.

Hmm... yeah you may be right. Not that high a resolution. 720p

And if I put a 42"+ into my space, my eyeballs would burn out of my head. O.o

For gaming, Id say a 32" HDTV is about has big as you should go. Walmart generally has some pretty decent ones at the price youre looking for too.

Although mine was also a Sanyo and it self destructed after two years. Makes me shy...

*Sigh* I'm watching Supernatural on my laptop which is ok, but I just looked over to the remote of my dead TV...

32"... my wife is going taunt me about "wanting a bigger one" heheh... But at least she can play on her Wii-fit in style. :P

Theres no sense in looking all over the place when youre trying to play a game. Which is what happens when you go bigger than 32" IMO. Also, Wii, doesnt deserve and HDTV, lol.

At least it can play old GameCube games, they DEFINITELY don't deserve it. Jeez... I remember those graphics being good.

I loved the remake of MGS of GC as well as the Zelda one from N64. I also though Zelda TP, was a great game but I wouldnt touch any of them on the Wii.

Hmmm... I'm a 3 console household.. 360, PS2, Wii... I'm playing Rule of Rose on the PS2 right now. Creepy. Reminds me of the best, disturbing parts of Silent Hill.

Clock tower were great games back in the day and you cant forget fatal frames too.

Hmm. Mine is 1440x900 I think that is the most reasonable screen. Unless you are far away from your pc.
