I really didn't want to tell anyone. I know that people will just exploit it, but since the new patch will make the winning team be survivors first, it will screw everything up and we need this fixed by Valve with the new update.

I tested this about 6 or 7 times eliminating as many variables as I could.

Every try just confirmed my suspicion.

So hear it is, please don't exploit this. At least don't tel XBL retards about it.

If you are the first group of survivors, you will not break down the door within 5 minutes (I quit trying after that, never broke the door with first group)

If you are the second group of survivors, you will break it down with 65 to 68 hits from one person (about a minute of hitting).

everytime I tried this it worked. Post patch.

P.S. If anyone wants to test this, the only other variables that I have not messed with are, lobby type - I did splitscreen on 1 xbox so it was on system link option. Also it was only tested on my xbox. So if you are a mod that got a message from me asking if you had a 360, this is what I was testing.

I held on to this for as long as I could so people wouldn't leave the second they see the infected team full in the lobby. But if you hate it when people break the door, for now just be the second group of survivors and don't break the door.

I think simply by posting here you've alerted a small group of them, and the information will qucikly spread. And Valve may or may not be aware of it already, but rest assure they will come aware of it eventually.

thats why i didn't tell anyone for so long. I knew the day after the patch, I just didn't want exploits to be well known anymore. but since the new patch will allow people to do it anyway, I thought this might make valve get to it faster.

Posting about bugs and exploits is generally a good thing. Forum threads with multiple opinions and reports on the matter can result in some useful feedback for the developers, even if a few people start abusing it. Those things don't stay secret for a long time anyways, so we might as well contribute to the next patch now.

i think that the door should be breakable but should take a really long time. so you have a choice. quick and lots of zombies. or long and many special zombies. but yea right now thats pretty cheap
