I would like to play L4D like this:
http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t280/left4dead411/l4d-french-triplescreen.jpg

My Equipment:
1 x 24" widescreen monitor (1920x1200) (Center)
2 x 20" widescreen monitors (1680x1050) (Right & Left)
1 x 8800 GTX

Current Setup:
Currently I have the 24 and one 20 inch monitor on the 8800 GTX. The other 20 is on my server and I am using MaxVista to enable it.

How do I need to change up the setup to be able to play L4D such as the above picture?

From my research so far, I think I have two options:

Option 1: Matrox Th2Go
Pros:
The Th2Go supports SLI mode, so I could add another 8800GTX and SLI them to get very nice performance on three monitors.
Better multi game game support.
Cons:
Th2Go is expensive.
I have to replace the 24 with a 20 for the 3x1680x1050

Option 2: SoftTh
Pros:
Much Cheaper.
Can use the current monitors (2x20, 1x24)
Cons:
Performance degradation due to the software rendering.
Have to buy another video card.

So I think I understand the hardware configuration, but what about configuring L4D? Does L4D support SoftTH? Does it work well?

I posted some intructions for dual monitor splitscreen (http://www.your-url-here.comhttp://www.left4dead411.com/forums/index.php?action=vthread&topic=7279&forum=2&page=0) a while ago.

The trick is to get one huge desktop that spans across all your monitors, instead of multiple small ones. As as far as I know, Windows XP supports that natively, as long as you have enough connectors on your video cards.

Vista does not, so you'd have to use some 3rd party software, like you mentioned above. I don't have any experiences with either of those, unfortunately.

Configuring L4D isn't hard. You can set it up to run at any specific resolution easily, by using the right command-line parameters for the game's launch options: -w width and -h height

Playing like this really requires that all of your monitors are the exact same model. A) for consistency in look, and B) because in your case they're vary sizes and resolutions meaning what you want cannot be achieved (it can with the two 20" monitors but not the 24"). In addition to that I doubt your card can handle it at high settings. I have an Nvidia 9600 (only slightly less powerful than yours) and I'd be hesitant to let it span both my monitors because I like playing on High (so I keep L4D in a window and throw up my web browser on my other monitor).
