I want to grab the audio from this, I`ve tried a few programs and none seem to work.
Any recommendations?

you can use viloader to just rip the whole thing, the flv file, then use anyvideo converter to convert to avi or something, then just extract the audio maybe through virtual dubb or something, hope this helps :)

Thanks for the advice Tarron, not working though.
The program you suggested doesnt even seem to pick up anything from Winamp.
Not sure if its because I`m running Vista or what. May try it on the laptop which has XP on it.
Does it work for you with the link I provided?
All the programs I`ve tried so far dont appear to register the sound playing - the `graphic equaliser` bars are still and at the bottom , nothing seems to be registering with the recording software. Have the BBC made a rip-proof site?

Looks like the dreaded Vista compatibility rears its ugly head again.
Worked fine on my laptop with XP..............

I`m starting to slowly realise that - unforunately Microsoft caught me in the DX10 trap.
I`m going to make my PC dual boot with XP until Vista gets sorted

Well... Im pretty sure all XP users get a Microsoft Video editing program, dont remember quite the name, but you can rip audio with it, or atleast seperate the audio from the video, and then just convert the file. I used it in a film assignment... But, prolly not helpful if you use Vista, it might be there, worth looking for in the programs tab thing.

zombie ade i installed an excellent version of xp pro called "tiny xp platinum edition 2" and i swear by it (might have to search p2p to find it) but its a highly modded version and doesnt hog resources(mem or cycles), i tried it on duel boot at first using partition magic, but it soon proved to be excellent fast and great for games, i highly recommend it.

Have you tried setting your input to stereo mix? Then you can just record from the PC sound like you would with a microphone.

Audacity.
You can find a tutorial pretty easy, basically just set the input to 'What U Hear' or something and press record.

I`ve looked on a couple of p2ps and found something called tiny xp, there`s no platinum edition though. There is a `beast` edition(?) and a Vista edition. Would these do?
Is this a version of XP you run within Vista or is it a complete seperate OS? I wonder because of the one called Vista edition.
How do updates work with Tiny XP? Surely it wont let you if you dont have a valid cd key?

Yeah, I tried that. Whatever was causing the problem was Vista or my audio hardware. As all the programs I couldnt get working on the Vista PC worked fine on my XP laptop.
Audacity.
Thats what I ended up using in the end........ pretty painless ( when you use it on a compatible OS! )
Thanks for the replies guys.
