Anyone has surround sound 7.1 problem? VISTA 32bit

I am using Asus Xonar DX ... I've set up a 7.1 surround sound... but side speakers has no sound....
5.1 surround sound is working fine....
but why not 7.1??

I'm using 7.1 surround sound headphones and they work very well. They only connect via USB though, so I'm sure the connection isn't the same as yours.

Maybe you need to download drivers..? Kind of drawing a blank on this one

not sure what system i have set up, but i do have 6 speakers and cant get 7.1 surround sound to work. no idea how that works haha but i just use 5.1 surround sound and that works. just posting this cus i have a Vista 32 bit also. so hey maybe i might find something new

Pretty limited with headphones, but you'd be surprised how awesome they sound.

Well, I have headphones with Dolby Headphone... and awesomeness can't explain what you hear from Dolby virtual surround.

well.. I have headphone with Dolby headphone and 7.1 vitural surround... but I really wanna see if anyone can make 7.1 surround sound to work under vista 32 or any vista.... its really pointless if games can only play under 5.1 while I have 7.1 set up
