View Full Version : Hunter effect loop

Since the update, it seems that every time i'm saved from or save someone else from a hunter within about 5 seconds, the blood effects and thrashing sound keep going until I leave the room. Is this just happening to me, or are others getting it too?

No, It's not just you, I've seen it several times, Versus and Campaign alike.
when I see it, I always check my friends health bars to see if they are lagging, but they aren't losing any.

I get it all the time, before the update even.
I love it, its as if someone crammed him full of firecrackers.

I've experienced this problem from since the demo. It doesn't seem to bothersome to me. Kinda cool actually. :D If I'm playing with my friends and it happens I usually ask them and they confirm they also see it. I'm guessing it's just a glitch and Valve will fix it soon.

EDIT: (This is computer btw)

I've also seen this numerous times. Has anyone else seen the hunter still there like he's alive and slashing but he's not on anyone and he's kinda moving?

im always like "fuck hes pounced again!?" then i look back and see blood squirting out of the air lol

What you should do is stand in the effect loop and call out that you got hunter'd. Laughs will be had by you. Be careful though, because if childhood stories taught us anything... liars take it in the butt when their bluff is called.

Seen it all the time on xbox.. even when I'm playing offline, so it can't be lag or anything. It's just the 'exploding hunter'..

Yup, happened alot of times and still does sometimes.

Edit: Oversaw this was Xbox 360 Forum, but still, it happens on PC too.

Yup, this one's been in existence since L4D year dot. It's just a weird little glitch, but it's pretty funny seing new players get panicy about it.
