Hey guys, this have been answerd before, but that was for another persons graphics card. So what i need to know is - Will a 500W Psu be able to run a 8800 Gtx Over Clocked Graphics card ? i saw a another 8800 Gtx card with the exact same things as this one but it was not Over clocked, and it said Like Minimum Watt was 450. But for this Graphics card im about to buy it doesnt say what the minimum Watt thingy is. But my Bro told me that if the other Gtx card needs atleast 450 then this one also does. But as it is Over Clocked im not so sure...AND ive heard from another Direction that you need like atleast 550 O.o so..please help. Ps - I can only afford the 500 Watts psu ...so this is quite a sticky situation.

Depends on the PSU and what else you'll be using that takes up power.

A branded, decent PSU along the lines of corsair should power an 8800GTX, couple of hard drives, motherboard etc without to much trouble.

If you are running multiple hard discs, two dvd burners, 8800GTX's in SLI etc, then you will be stuck.

Most of the time, when people talk about overclocked graphics cards, they don't increase the power to them, just increasing the core speed and/or memory speed, so an overclocked one won't make any difference power wise.

What psu is it that you're looking at buying?

Efficiency can be as low as 70%....which is 385W.
