I made a simple little plugin to stop teamkillers. What it does, is when a player incaps another player then it kills the teamkiller. Obviously, this should NOT be used on expert!

If you wanna see it in action, join the server 8.9.31.26:27015 via console and kill a bot.

I know, right? this way, the TKer can only incap ONE person!

I've seen another one where it had FF disabled in saferooms and a maximum FF damage per 10 minutes or so of 60. It worked pretty well and it also covered Expert, ther was the problem of it making it abit easier though.
This one is pretty good unless you accidentally incap someone.

Yeah, but Expert is pretty much the only difficulty you can 1-shot-incap people, unless on Advanced people have 20 health, but if you shoot him/her there, not good.

It's mainly meant to be used on versus and normal.

Ahh okay, but i would use it on Advanced sometimes, it could be fun ^_^

I might hard-code it into the plugin so that if it's on expert, it's disabled.

Nah, you should put an option to choose which difficulty's it's enabled.

Maybe. I still think expert should be 100% off-limits.

Ok, hey, it's your plugin, your call :)

Although expert IS where most of the griefing occurs...

It's kind of your own fault if you try to play Expert with randoms...

Yeah lol, but IMO it should still be chooseable.

This is not a good idea! Most teamkillers in versus tk a player and then leave, now with your script they can do double damage.

This, mostly. It's not going to hurt the griefers any; you'll just end up with one incapped and one dead. At best it would help teach your nooby friends to watch their fire, but even then . . . well, meh.

Nah, sorry man, I can so see this getting abused. Vote Kick seems to work fine for me. Nice try though, I can see what you were trying to do

I have an awesome mod idea, this would work on Expert or any other. FF causes damage to the player who fired and zero damage to the player who got shot. This would work on expert as well. In would make the game just as difficult except people would be slightly more careful as they would be shooting themselves...
Is this possible? It should be

It's called reflective friendly fire. And I think it's possible here, too. It's an option in CoD4 servers.

I've accidentally incapped my team mates in versus before.
Not even being stupid, just like when a smoker grabs a guy and you shoot at both of them trying to get the smoker, or when someone is being retarded and runs infront of you while you're on the minigun.
Hell I remember this being a problem in Battlefield 2. You would get kicked if you teamkilled say 5 guys in a single match. So assholes would lie in front of planes and on C4 bricks and get you kicked from the server.
Votekick is good enough for me.

I think it best to detect if they have done so much damage to a team member or members, then take action instead of waiting for them to incap someone.

I've got a better idea.
A plugin that lets server admins have keys bound to automatically ban whoever's playing the various survivors.
In console:
bind "g" "ban_zoey"
*presses g when somebody playing Zoey starts trollin'*
B|4c|<-\/\/1c|0\/\/ has left the game - banned by admin

This.
Also a way to restore health lost due to griefers, but not from infected.

Well, this does only work if the admin is playing on the server.

Wouldn't this also be the case for accidental team damage?

But there is a small chance that the person is playing on expert with some people and one shot goes bad...

Yeah, you'd need a way to differentiate between the two, you're right.

This is a great idea... there have been times though when I'm boomered, and I hear a teammate being dragged off by a smoker, or a hunter is on him, and I shoot off the infected only to accidently do enough damage to incap the person. so that might make things a bit hectic.
Plus the fact that sometimes you lag and end up shooting a teammate that decides tow walk between you and the zombie at the wrong moment, or if your friend walks a bit too close to the molotov you threw at the tank, only to be incapped....these would be very frustrating and ragequit-full situations.
But it's still a great idea.

Someone should make a mod so every time you shoot a teammate instead of them taking the damage YOU take the damage for whoever you shot. So if you shot a guy in the head with a shotgun on Expert it would incap you and so on so forth.

This.

How about a modified quick-save?
Restores you to your previous state minus damage not taken from explosions/team-mates as well as removing any ammo/health items you used.
All it'd need to track to quicksave would be survivor locations, FF-Damage taken by each person, zombie locations, zombie-status, item locations, and intensity-meter levels.
