Make your own monsters for Left 4 Dead!

At least, that's what I'd like to see them put in the game...
If you could make your own monsters for the game, and then you could take it online that would be awesome! It could be programmed just to auto-download new monster files too. You could recreate Resident Evil, Silent Hill, and everything else! Someone might even make starcraft zealot monsters or zerglings!

Well, anyway, in unreal tournament (the original) I have a million different monsters added on to the game, and I can just spawn them in anytime, but in left 4 dead the director would handle the spawning as long as your enemy is classified as "normal" (spawns in when normal infected would) or "boss" (playable and spawned in at opportune times) or even "npc boss" (non-playable boss, like the witch)

Integrate this into the game because the community fueled games are the longest lasting and the best!

Well if you read my post correctly, you would have seen this: "Realistic" And by that i meant as realistic as a zombie game as this could be. Don't want to blend in other creatures from movies and so on, thats just stupid!

'Realistic' denotes realism. I for one wouldn't mind if Resident Evil's 'Licker' made it into the game, its pretty much a Tank/Smoker/Hunter combined. Real boss.

Sorry if I am stating the obvious here, but being built on the Source engine, can't you just add skins / mods yourself anyway?

I have changed all the skins in CS:S to "better" looking ones...

I have a great idea for a new playable infected...

The Spitter.

He is fast like the hunter and can spit blood at high speeds, attracting normal infected (maybe half the amount the boomer does)

see the boomer vomits and the distance isnt that far, but the spitter would be fast and his "spit" would travel faster and further.

I think it would be a fun playable infected anyway:P

They should make a zombie that disorients your player's mind, turns off communictation with your team and makes them resemble very closely the infected so you think that they're another infected. It would last probably like around 10 seconds maybe less but would really fuck your team up. Giving them less health. Wow I really like that idea. How bout you guys?

have random spurts of weirdness like you see in eternal darkness: sanity's requiem for gamecube! I do think Left 4 Dead is fine as-is, but it should at least be easier to add in new enemies so RE and Silent Hill mods are a breeze to make and are automatically set up in coop like left 4 dead and with the AI Director too.
