Challenge! REAL Single Player Survival!

Okay. So I accidentaly got my achivements erased, so I was going to "cheat" to get the Man vs. Tank one back. I tried it multiple times... and failed. So, I keeled the bots, and ran through half a level in NM to kill it by myself. I found the gameplay keeps you very on edge, waiting for that deadly hunter to pounce you, and was quite fun, and challenging.

So, here we go: If you could start a campaign on Expert, kill your bots, then change the difficulty (if you want to?), make your way through the campaign. If you're PC, open console and type in "kick x", where x is one of the other players. Kick all of them. Get as far as possible by yourself. Post your difficulty, your campaign, then how far you get without dying.

Here's some rules:

1. ALL bots MUST die before you leave each safe room
2. You CANNOT leave them out of closets
3. Be HONEST in how far you make it. Try to keep this competition fair.
4. In the finale, put it on expert and kill them for good, then return to your original difficulty

All right! Get to it!

So far, I got this:

No Mercy, NORMAL, Part 3, at hospital entrance (I had a tank on me, a crapload of zombies, then a hunter pounced me... right before the saferoom... FAIL! Xo)

Death Toll, NORMAL, Pt. 5, Finale I made it until the boat came... A smoker got me over a rock as a ran to the dock... Boy, I'm unlucky.

Dead Air, NORMAL, Pt. 2, Right after crane event on next building Let's put it this way: Tank, punch, fall to the ground and died instantly... fail...

Blood Harvest, NORMAL, Pt. 4, on the tracks before safe room I had to restart the first time, because I got to pt 2 and died. Anyways, I had accidentaly disturbed a witch, then a smoker got me and they double teamed me... Witches are bitches!

there's only one problem with this... most of the time when you kill the bots, if they respawn in the closet, and you start a crescendo event or the finale, they like to let themselves out and join you. That happened to me once.

The best way to get rid of the bots in single player is to bring up the console and type:
kick bill
kick zoey etc
Then kill yourself and when you restart their gone for the entire campaign.

I've just done the whole of no mercy on easy. Posting it to youtube once i've converted it.
Its pretty hard not getting done by the smoker or hunter the whole way through.

Better way of getting rid of the bots... put this into your original post:

Open console
type:
kick louis
kick bill
kick francis
kick zoey

(Ofc, you don't need to type the guy you're playing yourself)

Might just give this a try if I'm a bit bored tomorrow... Though it would be nice if when the SDK came out someone made a survival game using L4D but for a single players (a little less zombies, maybe limited ammo even on pistols, no hunters or smokers)... that kind of thing.

Now see, I searched under multiple categories. And with my internet speed (dial-up), I was searching for over a half an hour. It's quite tough.

If I find a better one, I'll get rid of this one.

EDIT: Well, that's on how to MAKE them with your codes. Good job, btw. But this is a CHALLENGE on it for time. I can't do that, for I have no good PC to play it on. Most of that looked like a bunch of nonsensical things I wish I could do on my 360. So, I think this is not a copycat thread.

And trust me, if I thought it was, this would be locked.

Type &quot;nb_delete_all&quot; into your console.
It will remove the survivor bots.

I'll have to give this a shot when we have time, but AOTD had some amazing fucking footage, and now since the latest patch, it has all been deleted, so now we have to do all those 25 pounces, insta incaps\kills, ninja boomers, and insta pull smokers all over again. GAH

if ya care to watch this they used like 146 pipe bombs its in the end at the credits lol so I'm guessing some cheats were used , i play expert all the time and there not even close to that many pipe bombs in one campaign
