And comes out to me for 580, including CA's gay tax, and shipping.

Now Dell is offering me the same exact thing, except the ram is DDR 800, and a optical drive(going to rip out an old one from my old pc), and I get a copy of windows vista, AND they build it for me for 550! And free shipping!

I mean... I thought custom build PC's were suppose to be the cheap way...

Is it just me, or does this seem too good to be true?

I picked all of my parts off of newegg, and it was more expensive...

Well, great find, I'll be sure to watch in envy as I lust after your computer. I can't buy it now because I've been feeling a little slothy, but after my big gluttony spell, I'll save and save and save, don't call me greedy. Or you can just feel my wrath. But I'm too proud to do such a thing.

GL with replacing any of the parts other then the Video card on that dell and guess what there is no overclocking dells so what u get is what u get also u can't upgrade that CPU down the road to a E8500. dell its not worth it, the life of a custom made computer is way more then a dell computer due to upgrading u want the most out of your money build it your self.

and I get a copy of windows vista

Deal breaker. This is not going to play games well for you. with only 2g ram, noting its @800mhz doesnt help.

Vista is a resource hog. So you need quite a bit of resources. If you must have vista, i suggest taking the bite and getting the 64 bit version and get yourself atleast 4 gigs of ram. Ohterwise you want XP for your gaming's sake.

You can play games on Vista with 2GB of RAM just fine. I'm using that with a 8800 GTS and a 3.0GHz Core 2 Duo. It's in no way a deal breaker.
