Splitscreen online problem

So I'm trying to do splitscreen online, so I started a lobby, let two other people connect, and went into the game (dedicated server). In the game I did "ss_connect" and it split it in two. But the other guy wasn't controlling a character, he was just able to look around (no walking).
How do you fix this?

Unfortunately I think Valve disabled the ability to have splitscreen functionality on the PC. I don't know if it's temporary or what, but I was having the same issue with no idea how to fix it (if a fix even exists) or work around it.

Splitscreen works offline perfectly, but IDK about online

ss_enable (put it in in the main menu before you start)
