i have Left 4 dead. its my fav game. but i dont have xbox live or even a harddrive[i got the arcade] im pretty good at the game. i only ever play wit one of my friends cuz most of my friends that i hang with daily arent gamers but the one that plays L4D with me offline co op pauses every 2 minutes to text his gf, its fustruating and throws me off. i wait till im dead or in the safe room to text my gf bak. but i stopd playin wit dat guy-couldnt take the pauseing anymore

You can say you're good at the game when you play versus, in a public group against a clan and win even a single round. Playing versus ramps up the difficulty by one HELL of a lot, mostly because you're up against living breathing players who's only goal is to stop you breathing.

I'm a pc gamer here but I'd advise getting x-box live as soon as you can.

lol, I have friends like that..... good thing my gf is really tolerant of my "gaming time" and leaves me alone when I'm playing. Or if she's around, she's giving me a shoulder rub while I kill some zombies :P

Be straight foward with your friend. Tell him when ever you guys get together to play L4D to get all of his texting and <3's out of the way before hand. Or even better, get his GF to tag along, and they can just talk instead of him having to pause every time a horde arrives or he gets a text.

Yeah VS games are a whole new ball of wax. Blood soaked wax with bits of flesh and bone and such. I'm sure you have good fundamental skill. But you're going to be quite surprised when you have 4 SI actually coordinate an attack. Also having 3 SI plus a tank is always a good time!

Who says you can't be good at l4d when you don't play versus? I STOPPED playing versus when it became too EASY! Maybe I was missing something. Seemed like no one could ever mount an attack against my teams that worked for shit. I also don't like having to be the infected. I'm a shooter, pure and simple. I'm also not really into jumping on top of dudes and pinning them to the ground.

Xbox, but that doesn't mean you should tag the old &quot;console people are 'special' people&quot;. I've been against a few good players, but in then end we would always pull through. I think it's just because alot of people don't understand the teamwork ethic.
