I would like to start this thread to gather your observations about the new footage, because 3 eyes see more than 2 ;) and so far all your comments are spread into lots of different threads.

The lift is gone, there's a truck to now climb up. Infected change with what area you're in (hospital has patients), Hunter's stealth is seen for the first time, first time hearing dynamic music, first time seeing "A Tank hit you with a piece of debris" which you can also see stuns you in place for a moment, you get a demerit for blowing up a boomer in yourself so it isn't just teammates, falling off ledges doesn't work very well (lol, although I gotta say the music is super intense for it).
Think that's about it for right now....

- message when ghost: Press DEL to be moved closer to survivors / get ready in 39 seconds
- Boomer message: You are a Boomer. When you die, you will explode violently. Right click to vomit on survivors to make the horde chase them. Vomiting in their face will blind them as well.
- Boomer symbol is a maw, the boomer burps, vomit sound when spitting vomit
- at 0:57 we can see the "Choose a class" menu which shows the hunter on top, followed by the boomer, then comes the smoker and last is random
- Smoker message:You are a smoker.When you die, you turn into a smoke cloud. Right click on survivors to pull themto you with your tongue. You can also cough up a smoke cloud with your alternate weapon.

falling off ledges doesn't work very well (lol, although I gotta say the music is super intense for it).
Heh, that part made me chuckle.

Perhaps links would make this easier.
Also on your note that melee can interrupt reloading I've noticed that you don't need to repeat the entire reloading sequence if you break it with melee. For instance, you put the clip in and then melee. The reloading sequence will just go on from there meaning you won't put a new clip in.
And where is this zombie play video?

i wonder why? the gameplay looked good and everything seemed to be running smooth...

"Sound of a heartbeat when leap attack isn't ready"
I actually think that's when you get bashed by a player. It stuns you and you hear the heartbeat as an audio cue. This would explain why the leap would not be available.

The smokers hands look awesome.
I can see why they wanted it removed - the gameplay is still a little sloppy and loose, by the looks of it. But I'm happy to have seen it!

Gameplay for bosses looks awesome, but it could use some tuning up yea. Can't wait to choke someone out with smoker.
Only thing I didn't like is how the smoker grabbed someone with his tongue and the door closed, so the checkpoint kinda saved him. I wonder if you do that and someone closes a normal door, will your tongue still be attached to them?

I wonder if boss infected can close doors.. and even lock them? :) Could lead to some interesting situations. Choking someone through a hole in a door ;).

Out of boredom and curiosity I looked through the comments on the gamespot L4D page. It must suck for TRS to present such an apparently 'awesome' game, only to have all the credit be given to Valve.

In the "Warhouse War" on gamevideos vid at the beggining of the level I noticed the big ammo pile wasn't there. It was just a few clips of SMG, Pistol ammo. And I guess that white can had shotgun shells. Is that on higher difficulty where ammo is more limited? Though I notice he highlighted the whole pile so maybe its just a different graphic for it.
I also guess it was single player cause the others kind of stand around for a while an behave like AI.

As far as I remember the ammo in this room was always low, but if you're right then a different difficulty would explain it. I wonder how the difficulty influences the gameplay (less survivor health, more boss-infected health, more Zacks, more Zack-health, less ammo, fewer respawns/more infected respawns etc ...

Hunter's stealth is seen for the first time
Theres an older video where you can see it. You see him come out of stealth right before he pounces Bill in the warehouse.

I think they are only able to destroy the doors. Maybe closing/opening, but locking would be mean =).

From some preview I also heard that you can preform a 'use' action to remove the smoker tongue from a teammate's neck.

It might have been like this for a while but from one of the newest videos the outline for survivors has turned white. I think it used to be green. I'm not 100% on this so yar.

there was, it was either the IGN or the gamespot one, one of the more recent ones anyway, so it could be a newly implanted feature

yes, one of them said it required a "lengthy use of the use key" or something like that, but i believe they were referring to getting a survivor back up after being choked. i know you can melee the survivor to knock him free of the tongue, as we've seen that in some vids before
but hey, maybe you can do both?

Which makes me wonder, is there some kind of an ingame replay system or something? Where you can watch a particular run through from first person perspective, minus the HUD? 'Cause that dude (IGN vids) was playing without a x-hair otherwise, and not doing too poorly.

Use key picks up survivors but right click saves them from the infected. In the case of the smoker, I think you are knocking your teammate out of the grasp of the tongue. In the case of the hunter, your knocking the hunter of your mate.
This feature was there at Quakecon and I used it quite a bit.

I guess its a recorded ingame 'demo' we see. In HL1 and 2 you can record clean 'demos' over console without HUD and crosshair, but I don't know the console command =) (just read this once).

I believe that the survivors see each other with the white outlines, while the infected see the green/yellow/red style colors to identify hurt players to torment. :)
