Just finished watching 28 Weeks - saw it at the cinema, but the Mrs hadnt ! The farmhouse scene had her crapping herself!

I`ll try out the demo now and see if it does suck as much as everyone thinks.
I would have thought a Quake related title should be something to be impressed by, guess they lost the winning formula somewhere in the coding.

Read, torrents come from file sharing sites, if there are no file sharing sites there are no torrents, 0Day and other pirating teams don't leave their computers to sit there and seed to other people, they upload them to file sites in less than an hour and move on, no file sharing sites = no torrents.

Hi, and thanks for hijacking my thread on Quake Wars and turning it into a discussion on illegal downloading.

Anyway - may as well close this thread - Quake Wars is `meh`
Shows off what a high spec rig can do, but gameplay is pretty average.

Gameplay is bad, it would be average if it didn't exactly copy the Battlefield series, and the graphics are not something to say are good, even on max.

Zombie Ade, I've been playing the beta a while and I can say it isn't bad at all. It's really fun actually, much more intense than BF2. If you're looking for a tactical team shooter though its not like that. It's very run and gun sometimes, especially in open places.

Graphics are great too.

Graphics are not great, we saw better in GRAW 2(PC) and MoHA, graw 2 is old as well.

Quake wars is average? Too bad, it looked cool, and id software is the original shooter company. I'll just have to get Unreal Tournament 3 then *cough*which is better than Call of Duty 4*cough*. Sorry, I have a cold. Anyway, I was hoping Quake Wars would be better.

For me, it's neither here nor there. They've attempted to combine Quake and Battlefield, and instead of highlighting the best of both worlds, they've managed to magnify the exact opposite. Just my opinion, of course. Some people absolutely LOVE it. Mostly, those people are fans of Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory. It plays much the same.

Both are old engines, QW might even have the older engine, so you might have just shit in your mouth again.

CoD4 is as much run and gun as QW usually, of course the guns are slower and the people are faster in QW, and the guns are faster and people slower in CoD4. Ironically.

QW isn't too bad of a game I found it pretty fun playing with my friend online.. Did get a little annoying and cheezey when the Strogg people kept using their jet packs and going way up in the mountains camping n' shit.. But over all i think it's a nice game and the graphics aren't half bad compared to some other games. Besides it'll be pretty painful on computers having Bio Shock like graphics in such big open space and throwing in all that detail and lighting n all that shit, so I think the graphics are fine just the way they are. The only thing I do find annoying is the way people die because they just float over boxes n crap with out any type of rag doll physics or any thing and i don't really see any other way the game can be made since if it was like all action and tactical in small place people would have been saying it was like Counter-Strike or if it was like all the past ones but with more people it wouldn't have been any thing all that new.. There is already all types of games out there, don't see why this one should be so different except with the monsters n all.
