COD4 PC issue?

I just got my new PC set up yesterday and everything has been great, except when it comes to COD4.

It installed fine, and multiplayer works, but single player won't work, an error comes up saying to insert the disc.

Has anyone here had this issue, or know of a possible solution? every other game works except COD4 so I know it isn't the drive.

well since u own the game u can try to burn the CD to a fake drive with something like damon tools or poweriso or get a no cd crack

Have you tried inserting the disk? :P

But seriously, I think I've had this problem before, just try getting the Crack like Gold said, they only problem is you might not be able to play multiplayer unless there's a crack for the lastest patch.

I hadn't thought of that! =P lol

Fortunately the multilayer works, it is only single player that doesn't so using the crack won't be any loss =D

Getting a crack will possibly remove your ability to play multiplayer.

Have you tried reinstalling? There might be something wrong with the exe or some files might be missing.

I'm thinking if I change the file names it might work.

I'm going to try this before anything else, easier that way, well, if it works lol.
