Free Imaging Programs?

I urgently need something alike to photoshop but for free, somehow my CS3 got uninstalled and I have to do a graphic assignment for tomorrow and need anything useful. I have no clue where CS3 is, probably disappeared along with half of my stuff when I moved.

I'd prefer it not to be a trial program, CS3 is huge too and in desperation I will download the trial if necessary, but if anyone has any recommendations nowz the time!!!

Shit timing too, I remember all the times in the summer I kept accidentally opening CS3 instead of a program I wanted, now its not even here!!!!

Edit: Or if there is a free DECENT version of photoshop, im not aware of because its been a while just link me to it. Btw, CS3 makes me shutdown all programs before install, so I dun wanna do it.

Well I specifically stated no CS3, file is big. Thanks though, didn't know how fast it would go, cant go wrong with a 1.2MB/s download.

I'm sure your teacher assigned it earlier so you could of been more prepared instead of doing it last minute, but if they did just shove it upon you don't put that much effort into it.
