I have really grown to like the melee fatigue patch. At first, like most others, I didn't really like it. However after playing with it for as long as its been it I really like how it has changed gameplay.

I used to be a shotgun lover before the patch. RARELY used the Uzi at all. Same with tier 2, always a auto-shotty. However, since the patch I seem to not pick it up at all.

I find my accuracy level a lot higher now too. I used to think it was just easier to melee the whole horde off but now I know the gun is greater than the hand.

I rarely find it hard to melee off hunters like some complain and the same goes with boomers and smokers.

I can still kill hunters with my melee too with no problems.

I would just like to hear some real complaints that people may have about it.

I enjoy it too, actually, when it first came out I was pretty much praising it. Although even though I loved it I hated it it too (love/hate, gotta love it). My main concern was hunters and what not but eventually I got used to it.

I don't really have any complaints about it except for the fact that after I play campaign versus is a bit weird for a few minutes :3.

I hated it at first as well. Now it adds a new level of depth to the game a change in strategies and whatnot. Plus, as infected its fun to watch someone meleeing a horde, wait for the fatigue, then attack. I love it.

It's OK, I think they could of found an alternate solution, but it gets the job done. This however will not be acceptable in survival mode, when you have a swarm spawning every 30 seconds or so (back to back) you will need a little gain to help you out. They said something about tweaking melee fatigue so I hope it goes well.

No complaints here really. I was a punch-and-shoot guy long before the fatigue was added, so I pretty much kept on truckin'. The patch did motivate a couple of my friends to experiment with other weapon choices and use their pistols more, which is a plus in my book.

I too am a punch n' shoot kinda guy, the only thing I can actually say makes me really made, is the fact that the hunting rifle is never used anymore ):. The fact is when you had a hunting rifle you punch away all the zombie so your aim wasn't horrible, then you shot all the zombie, but now it's become a waste of a T2 weapon. I myself love the thing, but no one wants me to use it cause apparently "it's sucks donkey dunk" lol.

Survival will indeed be a hell on earth with it, but I'm cool with it, I'm just pumped for another mode! :3

Has it been confirmed that melee fatigue will be in Survival?

Has it been confirmed that melee fatigue will be in Survival?

Yes, it has. There is one new link that was posted yesterday and had it's own thread featuring I think around 8 minutes of survival mode. It may be in the DLC thread, or you can just believe me when I say I definitely saw it in there.

I like it. It encourages people to actually shoot and helps overall gameplay.

Isn't that the main reason they added it to versus, to see how it was going to be before survival mode.

I'm a fan of it, it is great for the gameplay.

I still wish there was some kind of meter you could see how close you are to getting fatigued though. It would be helpful to hold back on that last melee if you knew it was going to push you over the edge.

I wouldn't say it has made me a better player, it just has made me choose uzi before I can get my autoshotty or m14.

It has tho made pub stomping much easier seeing as the noobs couldn't melee a horde off themselves to save their lives (literally) before fatigue, now it is just ridiculous. A boomer and a smoker can take out an entire pub team with two moves.

I'm just going to miss those crazy fellas going through versus matches armed only with blood spattered medikits. Ahhhh, Nostalgia.

Aww...
I was hoping I would click this thread and it would simply say "FUCK YOU" and show a picture of a very angry Mr. T pointing straight at me.
But no. It's a rant.

Lol, I'd have to say that's what I was expecting too xD.
Was very surprised when it was a rant too.

Sorry to disappoint on the Mr. T aspect.

It is funny.

A month ago you would find a majority of people complaining. Yet again has Valve come through on their word. I remember Chet saying something in his reply to an e-mail "Just give it some time and people will learn to adapt their playing style."

It seems as though most have which is a good thing.

I am not going to say that they are stupid for putting it in survival mode yet. Maybe it would just be too easy with it in there. Melee until a tank comes, finish him, melee some more. I don't think survival mode is meant to be easy. It is something that'll last us a while and getting over five minutes seems to be a feat.

It'll separate the shit from the gold, both of which will be using melee fatigue.
