What's up guys, I just wanna run my numbers by you guys because I want to purchase L4D, but my laptop wasn't built for gaming.

Dell Inspiron 1520
Intel Core 2 Duo CPU T7250 @ 2.00 GHz 2.00 GHz
2038 MB of RAM
144 GBs free of 220 on the hard drive
Graphic card: Mobile Intel 965 Express Chipset Family

I believe everything is good here except the card. I looked it up, and Intel says it should be good enough for games of this caliber: http://www.intel.com/support/graphics/intelgm965/sb/CS-026200.htm

Do you think this chip can fly, or do I need to invest in another?

(On a sidenote, I've never played an FPS on a PC, I'm more of a console gamer. Should I get a PC controller or just stick to the mouse?)

Gracias.

Well intel's video cards suck i would try to get a good 9000m card from nvidia or something like it from ATI in order to run games well and use the mouse its better

You wanna stick to the mouse. Its what it was (most likely, depending on game) designed for. Also, I think you will find replacing the laptop's gfx card quite a challenge.

This is not the right place to put this, the correct thread you want is here:

Yeah, Im in the same boat as you. All my laptop specs are fine... except the graphics card :(
I'm pretty sure it's damn near impossible to upgrade laptop graphics cards (in general).

And yeah, MOUSE > Controller > Joystick
