I took a leap out after buying Braid after spending more money on a game for my friend.

I knocked back 5000 miles by the sheer art of the game. The music, visuals, and story were incredible. I only wish that the game was a bit longer.

If you haven't played it you might think "Isn't that just a Mario knock-off?", of course there are some elements of ol' Mario in there but the story is so complex yet brilliant, not just trying to rescue a princess (though it may look like it)

DON'T THINK THAT BACKWARDS TIME TRAVEL ISN'T THE ONLY PUZZLE HERE!

I played it for the first time when it was released on Steam a while ago. Amazing game! Just fooling around with the time manipulation is fun and the puzzles are all devious. :)

Then there is the ending. I was floored... I think I'm going to have to play the epilogue again. There is so much interpreting that can be done with this game.

Hopefully there are some interesting mods / levels coming out of the developer tools, released by Jonathan Blow. If this had some legs, people could come up with mind-boggling stuff like the original.

I'm not usualy a fan of platformers but this thing has been thumbed-up to death by thousands. Looks like I'm gonna have to try it out. Sigh ;)

I would try it out, but I hear it's pretty short.

I played the ending, and it was just unbeliveable how much things you don't realize until then. It was really a good game.

I could have sworn I made a witty comment in this thread, oh well.

Looks like a good game, I may have to try it.

It kind of strikes me as being like Mario and PoP:Sands of Time.

Most people are "floored" unless you get all those secret stars and look at some online opinionated explanation.

I don't think I got any secret stars... or puzzle pieces, that were not required to advance. :/ But just the twist at the end and the way the last level plays out was surprising and smart, I think.
