IF YOU WERE IN THE HOSPITAL:

Option 1:
You realised you didn't have time to go to the stairs, you just wanted to get the hell out of here as soon as possible. You tell the group of your decision and you fist slams onto the call button.

At first, there was nothing but an uncomfortable silence, everybody just waiting, and expecting the inevitable howl which was to follow. Sure enough a few second later your ears were filled with a sound that by now you knew only too well, all you could do was wait.

The first infected rounded the corner and was immediatly halted, courtesy of a face-full of lead. A fwe more came, dead before they even got to scream. It all seemed to be going well, but that just wouldn't be fair. Everything happened seemingly at once, like God was watching, waiting for the right time to flick the "death" switch. The walls broke down around you, infected poured in from every angle, through the walls, out of the vents above you. Those who weren't knocked to the ground fired wildly. You were lucky, your shear numbers meant you ahd a slight advantage. Quickly everyone dispatched of the rest of the infected, but it wasn't over yet.

At first you brushed it off, any normal infected could be fat, it just depends on who they were before. But then you noticed something, the boils. It was unnaturally fat, and had gross boil pulsing all around its body. Of course your first reaction, while holding a gun, was to shoot the shit out of it. That wasn't a good idea. Everyone was sprayed with green goo, and once you wiped it away from your eyes you realised there were more of them. Everyone now had their backs pressed firmly onto the elevator doors, hoping for dear life they would open soon.

You kept shoopting, they came from the left, from the right, from above. Then you heard a slow rumbling noise behind you, and you literally fell into the elevator as the doors opened. You immediatly found the highest button, labelled "ROOF" and mashed it. The doors closed with a distinct 'ping'.

Option 2:
You didn't want anymore infected on you. The less the better you thought, and the stairs seemed to offer less. You told the group and you were on your way.

Once again, your group stormed through the abandoned halls taking out anything in their path, leaving with nary a scratch on them. You came to the stairway entrance, and not wanting to wast any time you kicked the door open and began ascending, glancing upwards to see the journey ahead of you, it didn't look very nice.

A few infected were in your way, but they were quickly taken care of before they had a chance to cause any harm. After what seemed lie forever you finally reached the top, and as you began you open the door you heard a strange sound. It was coughing. Not a one-time-only type of cough, the kind that tells everyone you enjoy a few hundred cigarettes per week. You didn't hear anyone coughing on the way up. You turned to see where the sound was coming from, but you didn't gave time to search, a long, slimey object flew through the air and tightened around your chest.

Before you knew it, you were tumbling over the railing down into the stairwell you had just climbed. You hit the ground, hard. A seering pain lept through your right leg, that wasn't good. You turned to see what happened and was greeted with the ugliest infected you had ever seen, and that was saying something. He had large boils all around his face, and a green smoke was surrounding him. Just before he delivered the final blow, it's head exploded. A few men instantly rushed to your side.

"It's not looking good," said the group doctor, "you've sprained your leg, normally it would be fine, but under these circumstance you'll need to rest it for at least 2 hours before you'll be able to run for a decent amount of time."
"We don't have that time," you respond, "I guess I'll have to walk out of here then."

At that you stepped out onto the roof.

The following are the options for both choices above.
As you steppped onto the roof you felt the calming touch of the cold night air on your face. Leaving little time to enjoy this pleasure, you move over to the radio you can hear in the distance.

"Hello, is anybody out there?" the man on the radio called.
"Yes," you answer, "We need help getting out of here, we're on the roof of Mercy Hospital, are you in the position to help us?"
He replied, "Yes, we are, we're a News Chopper, we have been instucted to leave but we have to help people first, we can come get you in 10 minutes, but when we get within several miles of there those things will get pissed, be ready, we're on our way."

You surveyed your surroundings, you noticed a minigun on the roof, that would be helpful, but it was out in the open, staying down here might work too. You needed everyone in the same area. there were weapons and ammo on both the roof and inside so that wasn't a problem, what shall you do?

1. Fight from the roof.
2. Fight from inside.

IF YOU WERE AT THE DIRT ROAD:

Option 1:
Instinct got the better of you, whatever that sound was you had to at least check it out. You turned to your right and began walking down the narrow dirt road, as you did the sound kept getting louder and louder.

You got close enough to figure out what it was. It was definately human, and by the sound of the slight muffling in the voice it was probably coming from a radio. As you stepped into a clearing of the forest you came across a strange sight. It was a large house, completely out of place in the middle of the woods. Two large silos pointed up into the night sky, and beyond them you could see a seemingly endless cornfield. A barn stood behind the house and a smaller shed just infront of the silos. The place was scattered with varioud objects, fuel cans, food packages. It looked like someone had left in a hurry.

You stepped inside and was immediately greeted by the delightful feeling of a warm fireplace. The radio was close now, you stepped into the kitchen and saw it sitting on a table.

"Attention, is anyone out there?" it called, you picked up the microphone.
"Yes, I'm here, just by myself." You answer.
"Oh, thank God," the man replies, "Look, I'm part of a military convoy, we're about 10 minutes away, we can come get you but you best be ready. That place is crawling with infected, and as soon as we get close they'll come for you, be ready, we're on our way."

You didn't have much time. You frantically searched around the property, spotting everything of use to you. The barn was pretty big, two stories, with a pile of ammo on the top and some molotov cocktails along with what looked like some sort of homemade explosives. There were a few of the same in the shed, you grabbed as much as you could hold. You also thought the fuel ans gas cans scattered around might be of help. Inside the house was a weapon cabinet along with 4 first aid kits and about as much ammo as was in the barn. There wasn't much of use on the top floor of the house, you grabbed some pain pills and left everything else.

You narrowed your choices down to two, in the kitchen of the main house, near the weapons and medkits, or on the top floor of the barn, with the explosives. But which to choose?

1. Defend from the house.
2. Defend from the barn.

Option 2:

You decided to continue down the road, you had to find help eventually.

It had been 4 hours, still no sign of anything. You found an abandoned petrol station filled with nothing but bodies, walking and not. But apart from that there hadn't been anything.

You heard something, a growl, whatever it was it didn't sound good. The next thing you heard was a loud howl, you looked up to see a leaping figure fly above you. By the time you realised what it was it was too late. It was tearing you limb from limb, and the last thing you saw was the horrible face hidden behind the shadow of the black hoodie.

Suddenly it stopped attacking, and you stood up. You were hungry...

I'll fight from the roof because i have a big group and we can mow anything down with the minigun and smokers won't be a problem because we have a lot of people to shoot it off. Boomers can be picked off from a distance, hunters will get shot in mid air and tank+minigun=failed tank.

I'm going to to go with option 1, the roof, because the minigun would definitely help alot, and the fact that I'm injured means I can't move around as much, so I need to see as much as I can and pick off as many zombies from afar without moving much.

Back to the matter at hand...I really want to attack the injured people on the rooftop, the only problem is they have a full group while the others have low groups. Then again, there are the ones who are alone...

I'm gonna do the barn option 2 and set up a defensive perimeter with them then grab a med kit, assault rifle then set up any obstacles (such as tables, hay bales, etc) up as barriers and blockade the entrances then i'm gonna stay away from any doors or windows

Ok I'll update tomorrow, just to give you guys time to reconsider your options if you want to. I'll say this:

From now on your previous choices that haven't had any influence yet will change your outcome. If you need more information just think about what your character has been through so far.

EDIT: I'm going to be away for a week starting tomorrow (or the day after, I don't remember), so I just remember that, and it would help if you guys could keep this bumped while I'm gone so people don't forget about it :D

IF YOU WERE ON THE ROOFTOP:

Option 1:
That minigun would come in handy, you and everyone else should be able to take down anything before it gets to you. You grabbed a shotgun from thw weapon rack and limped up to the roof.

You had been waiting for about 10 minutes. Two men had you covered, while two others were on each entrance, the stairway behind you and both of your flanks. One person manned the minigun while another covered him, with two snipers on the roof of the stairwell behind you. The only problem would be if any more of those things which attacked you earlier showed up, but you advised all the men to take full priority if they see any. A scream, louder than any you had heard before filled your ears, hopefully for the last time.

Then there was silence, for about 10 seconds. You heard more screaming, and the men open fired. It was absolute carnage. Every single infected was shot down as they charged. A few of the ones with long tongues were too, but there was more. A big, fat one with pulsing boils managed to get a few metres away from you. Nothing a few blasts from your shotgun wouldn't fix. You immediately regreeted that decision. The fat infected exploded, showering everyone with a think, green goo. By the time you wiped it away from your eyes, they were among you.

Limbs flew everywhere as your comrades blasted the infected away. You shot like crazy, in your state you were completely helpless, if one were to jump on you. Out of the corner of your eye, you saw one trying to do just that, only this one was different. It wore a black hoodie, and it was souring through the sky. You raised your weapon. BOOM. Its chest exploded and it jerk violently backwards in mid air. You looked around, all of the infected were dead. You made it, or so you thought.

Grunting, somethng you hadn't heard from any infected yet. But still, it was all you could here. The men searched frantically to find the source of the noise. Then the ground began to shake. You could hear loud thumps, footsteps. Then it all stopped. For a brief second you thought you may ahve been in the clear, but no sooner had you thought that than you heard another grunt, louder than before, and a large slab of concrete came flying through the air.

It moved closer and closer. Eventually it hit it's mark, one of the men. A loud and sickening crunch filled your ears, and the man lay limp on the ground, he was still breathing. Before you had a chance to register what happened, more grunting and thumping came, and that's when you saw it. It was massive, probably double your height, you thought. It ran on two legs, but it kept pushing it's fists onto the ground. It was a massive hunk of grey, what was ever human about it had now disappeared. It threw infected out of its way as it ran closer and closer to you.

Chaos. Men fired all around you, the bullets didn't seem to do anything, other than make it madder. Eventually it was close, it swung one of its fists into one of the men, he flew backwards, like a ragdoll, and crashed into the wall with a loud thud, you had to get out of here, the only two safe exits were through the stairwell, or off the relatively small ledge onto the roof below.

1. Crawl down the stairwell.
2. Jump off the ledge.

Option 2:
Those weapons would come in handy, you thought, staying on the bottom would be best. 10 minutes passed, then you heard the scream, louder than anything you had heard so far.

Any infected were immediately shot down as they entered. Their bodies creating an effective barrier against any more. You saw another one of those fat infeted, this time you knew better, shoving him away and keeping a safe distance when you killed it. You saw some new infected too, one wearing a hoddie which kept trying to jump on top of you, and another which shot it's tongue at one of the other men and coiled it around him.

Taking care of the infected was no problem, eventually they were all gone. Then you heard the thumping, it was rythmic, like fottsteps. Then you heard the grunting. It got louder, and louder, until suddenly the wall infront of you exploded, and out of the dust stepped a large, grey, hulking figure, it was massive. You didn't have time you take in the details, this thing was here to kill, and you had to get the hell away from it. The other men began running out the door on the other side of the room, you would need their help to kill this thing but you would have to risk running across the room to them. What should you do?

1. Run across the room to your men.
2. Jump out the window beside you.

Option 2:You decided to defend from the barn, those explosives would be very useful. You sat in the barn, waiting. After about 10 minutes, you heard the scream. It was blood curdling, louder than any scream you had heard before.

You looked at your weapons, you had about 10 molotovs, that should do. Before you caught a glimpse of any infected, you began throwing them. You threw some at the house, some infront of the barn, and a few in the corn field too. Pretty soon everything was up in falmes. The world was glowing orange. You heard the crackling of fire, every so often interrupted by an explosion, or a piece of the house breaking. But above all, you heard the high pitched whining of the burning infected.

Soon the only fires left burning were at the house and in the corn field, and more were still coming. You saw them out the front of the barn, but then you remembered the other explosives. You quickly fumbled to grab one, and pressed a button. A red light began to shine, then it stopped. It turned on and off, along with a high pitched beeping sound. You hurled the bomb with all your might as far away from you as possible. Then you saw someting you weren't expecting, the infected were running towards the bomb. They were
clawing at it, and then it exploded. A thick red mist began to settle, and then there was silence.

BIG J 101
Out of nowhere, a thick, slimey object shot up at you. It coiled around your chest, constricting your arms. You fell to the ground, completely helpless. The object moved to your neck, and tightened. The world turned black around you, and then everything stopped. You awoke, looking for blood...
Survivors' options

The silence didn't last long, though. A loud thumping came, footsteps. Then came the grunting. You didn't know what it was, but it didn't sound friendly. How should you prepare?

1. Ready your one remaining molotov, and wait to see it.
2. Get outside and wait to see it.

There we go, writing 3 tank descriptions is annoying.

And just incase you forgot, I will be away for one week, so this thread won't be dead, I'll update as soon as I get back.

Ok update time, this is the last update! Think carefully about what you choose, when everyones choices are in I will reveal who survived and the overall winner of the thread (yes I didn't abandon that).

IF YOU WERE ON THE ROOFTOP:

Outside
Option 1:
You looked around, jumping off the ledge wasn't a good idea in your condition, you had to go down the stairs. You edged your way to the doors way, all the way feeling the thumps become harder and harder. You threw yourself inside, and rolled yourself down the stairs, just as the doorway behind you exploded in a cloud of debris. The growling beast moved towards you, it didn't look like it could fit. Sure enough, its shoulder became wedged in the hallway, effectively halting the monster. You thought it was done for good, but it simply roared and began to smash its way through the walls. It made its way, inch by inch, down thye stairway, roughly jolting its shoulder to each side, crumbling the walls and making room for itself in the process.

You crawled out of the stairwell and stood up. You began to run, ignoring the seering pain coming from your leg. You heard another smash behind you, the monster had exited the stairwell.
"Get down!" one of the men screamed. You fell clumsily to your chest and a hail of gunfire erupted from the mens' weapons. The beast stumbled for a moment, seemingly in pain from the bullets. The moment didn't last long, it charged at you, angrier than ever. The men kept firing as you rolled yourself to the left, being narrowly missed by the beasts' fists. It brought its fists up again and smashed them into the wall beside you. They came at you again, this time clipping you on the shoulder. Then it roared, loder than before. The sound died out and the monster fell to it's knees. You rolled out of the way as it came crashing into the ground. You killed it, it was over. Or so you thought.

The sound of whipping chopper blades filled the skies. For a moment you thought you were saved, but the sounds of a screaming horde disproved that assumption. Apparently they heard the chopper too. And now it was time to run. You lept to your feet, this time completely unaware of the pain in your leg, and you ran. You saw the chopper fly beside you, and the horde burst out behind you.

You looked at the men who were on your tail, out of nowhere a slimey tongue shot olut and ensnared one of them. You've seen that before. You looked ahead, only to see another one of those monsters, those... tanks, run out onto the helipad. What should you do?

Option 2:
You div through the window beside you, and immediately hear the beast on the other side of the wall run towards you. The wall smashes ant the monster bursts out from behind the clearing dust. It flings its fist at you, making contact with your shoulder. You sprint to the right, clutching your arm. It flies around the corner behind you and continues to charge. You keep running and hurdle over the edge, down onto the lower area. As soon as you land, you hear a growl. It wasn't any normal infected. You only had just enough time to see the black, hooded creature leaping at you before it was over you, ripping you to shreds.

You rose up, for some reason you didn't want the others to escape...

IF YOU WERE AT THE BARN:

Option 1:
You held the molotov at your side, whatever this thing was, fire would deal with it, surely. You listened as the thumps grew louder and louder. Then you heard another sound. You averted your gaze from the window and looked down the barn, it was an infected, no problem. You brought your weapon up and fired, the infected immediately fell to the ground. Then you felt a large breeze of air run down your back.

You turned around to see it, a large, hulking creature, grey in colour and bulging all over with muscles. You felty a large force on your chest, and you were throw across the room, the molotov dropping out of your hands. You flung into the wooden boards of the wall, and at first you heard nothing but the crackling of a fire. You stood up, ignoring the pain as the monster howled. The entire barn was catching fire. You sprinted across the room, towards the door. A mass of wood fell infront of you, blocking the way, but that wasn't the worst of it. The entire barn was now alight, and out of the fire and smoke the beast ran. You had nowhere to go, and it was gaining on you.

Suddenly you heard a crack, then a loud bang. Another mass of wood fell from the roof, crushing the monster beneath it, you got away very lucky. You could here the military vehicle now, it was close. You had to get to it first. The only thing worse than being trapped in a burning house was that house being surrounded by infected, it sounded like they were on their way to the doorway, just on the other side of the rubble behind you. Worse yet, you could here another one of those tanks upstairs. You had two choices:

1. Attempt to dive over the rubble behind you.
2. Run to the other side of the barn and exite through the other door.

Option 2:
SickDaza
You quickly dash onto the open area infront of the barn. While you stand there you can hear the thumps become louder and louder. You look to the left, and see a massive, grey, bulking figure round the corner, and begin to charge at you. Before you had a chance to react, you felt a slimey object touch your back, it coiled you up and began to drag you backwards. You turned around to see a tall infected, standing in a haze of green smoke, with its tongue wrapped around you. You raised your weapon and fired, the creature fell immediately. Now back to the other monster. It had gained ground, but luckily you spotted a mass of fuel and gas cans lying beside it. You aimed your weapon and fired, the effect was instantaneous. The area went up in a cloud of grey, with fireballs shooting out from all sides. Out of the haze the monster came, but it was injured. It could barely move. You raised you weapon and delivered the final shot.

You could here the military in the distance, along with a scream from a horde of infected. The horde rouned the corner infront of you, you couldn't face them, you could also hear another one of those tanks behind you. You couldn't stay on ground level, if you got to the roof you could probably jump onto the rescue vehicle, what should you do?

1. Run back into the barn, onto the top floor.
2. Run into the house, onto the top floor.

IF YOU WERE ON THE ROOFTOP:

Option 1:
You skid to a halt, dust rises up from the end of your feet in a billowing cloud, without thinking you change direction and sprint back. You hold your gun firnly against your shoulder as you run. BOOM. A flash erupts from the end. The shot hits it's target, knocking back five infected. BOOM. Another shot, this time more infected are hit, a few explode in a shower of crimson. BOOM. More infected fall. You drop to your feet and slide forwards. BOOM BOOM BOOM. You kill more as you slide, all the time pulling out your combat knife. You skid to a halt beside your men, who are frantically trying to save the one ensnared by the tounge. You slash out, ripping the toungue in half and leaving nothing but a slight tear in the soldier's clothing.

Everything stopped for a second. Then you heard the roar, instincively you dived to the right. The tank's fist slammed into an unsuspecting soldier, his body flew backwards like a ragdoll, and fell into the black abyss off the side of the building. You didn't miss a beat, immediately getting to your feet, and beelining for the helicopter. Your men came with you. A few infected stepped infront of you. CLICK. You were out of ammo. The creature's head exploded and showered you with blood, looking to your left you saw yur saviour. In one clean movement you dropped your wepon and pulled out your pistol. You were going to make it out. A rock flew above you, missing your head by a few centimetres. You felt a sudden force on your side, and you fell to the ground.

An infected was ontop of you, trying to rip into you as you yelled to your men to continue. It jerked it's head forwards, only to be met by the back-end of your pistol. A crack sounded from the end of your weapon and the infected fell to the ground. The growl came again, you rolled to the right. Fists crashed into the ground, breaking the cement. The force pushed you into the air, you flipped onto your feet, and you ran.

By now the men wer at the helicopter, covering you. More infected came from infront, running for the helicopter. They started to take off. There was no way they were leaving you. You stepped onto your right foot and leaped. You lept onto the rail beside you, running up the steps. You jumped forwards onto another rail. 5 metres. You ran further, raising your weapon to stop any infected in your path. 3 metres. You lept forwards. 2 metres. There was nothing there, you crashed ontop of an infected, but you kept your balance. 1 metre. Now, standing on the shoulders of a monster, you lept. You jumped for the helicopter, it was now in the air, about to take off. It felt like you had been suspended in the air for ages, but eventually you felt the comforting touch of metal, you had grabbed onto the Landing Skids. Your menhauled you up and you sat back, and for the first time in what seemed like forever, you rested.

YOU HAVE SURVIVED

IF YOU WERE AT THE BARN:

Option 1:
You ran to the left, headed for the barn. You skidded to a halt under the ladder, and raced up it. You could hear the horde behind you. Then you realised, you still had another molotov left, it was sitting on the table infront of you. Racing forwards, you grabbed it, and faced the ladder, waiting for the horde to appear. You backed yourself against the window, you could see the vehicle turn the corner a few hundred metres away. A head popped itself in view, and you hurled the molotov down the far side of the room. The infected began to scream, but the tank just got louder, and angier. Very soon that entire half of the barn was on fire, and it was approaching quickly.

The tank appeared on the other side, in ran forward, and was stopped in its track by falling debris. You look out the windoe, a hundred metres. The debris flew everywhere as the tank burst through it. Your side was on fire, you had to leave. You could hear the floor crackling, it was about to break, but you had to give it some help. You pumped a few shots into the ground, and ran for the window. You jumped out, and everything happened simultaneously. The Tank burst out of the fire, roaring. The floor collapsed. The entire barn exploded, and, mostly lucky of all, the vehicle pulled up. You crashed onto the roof with a loud bang, and ignored the pain in your left side as you dropped down into the open hatch behind you. It shut with a soft and reassuring bang.

YOU HAVE SURVIVED

Option 2:
BlackCat
You sprinted for the other side, the barn collapsing all around you. The tank crashed down from upstairs, you skidded to the right. The tank crashed through the wall behind you. Then through the smoke you saw the exit. You dived through it just as the barn crashed down behind you. You sprinted down the side of the building. SMASH. The wall of the barn flew open, and behind the smoker and rubble stood the tank. Before you could react, you were flying across the road. The wall collapsed at the force of your impact, but that wasn't going to stop you.

You ran for the vehicle, it was parked now, waiting for you to get in. Then a flash of light caught your eyes. You looked to your left, and out of the barn, it looked like a giant fireball was jumping at you. But it wasn't a fireball, it was an infected. You realised this when it was ontop of you, ripping you limb from limb. All the while you stared at the vehicle. So close to salvation, yet so far.

There we go, it's done. I had some fun with it, and I'll consider doing another if you guys are interested, here's the final stats for our survivors:
