Edit: IGN scored it a 9.5, still lower than BioShock (with obvious complaints) but atleast somethings right with the world... Makes me ALMOST want to get it on Tuesday, but as said before... its going to suck ass waiting in line and shit. Unless they have like 7000 copies first day. Kinda sucks that theres apparent slow-down in this game, which should have been, by all intents and purposes, perfect... (According to IGN's review) it did score 10 on Sound, which makes sense... Halo 1 had great 'epic' music (terms being thrown around a lot) is it the same composer for Halo 3, anyone know?

Oh thank god for that! It's just that i've had waaaaay more fun playing CS or Ghost Recon (first one) or especially CoD:UO (my long time fav) that playing FPS' on a console just pales into comparison. This is not meant to flame bait or start a PC v Console argument. I can see the appeal of consoles (trust me, my ole PC is creaking like a bugger these days, and canny afford to upgrade) just not for FPS.

Luckily everyone else has it and I was able to try it a bit. Not that great but very good I will admit, I was expecting more overall... It's definately not tearing me away from World In Conflict like I expected it to. Im heading over to my friend again tomorrow, see if we can finish the campaign together (which is what I really wanted Halo for, and some online, probably not)

So has no one played it yet? I pre-ordered it and the next day played multi player at my friends house (Against my AP Chem teacher nonetheless heh heh), it was really fun. I honestly didn't like Halo multiplayer on the console. I loved it for PC though. I'm just looking forward to campaign. But back to my story. I pre-ordered the 24th. Next day, my mom was at Cosco, they had at least 400 copies for $50. It just didn't sell out anywhere where I live (Burlington Vermont) even though it seems everyone loves it and has it. So yeah now I'm waiting anxiously for the good day it gets here. I have no idea when it will be, so It'll be a surprise. I like surprises. Yeah go Grav-Hammer!!!

I got it at midnight the day it was released. I beat it in a matter of a few hours. I think the Halo games are pretty fun, but I was disappointed.

4 player online co op is fun, but I got more from the original Halo.

Oh and the "ending" is a piece of shit. Horrible.

I get that feeling with most single player games (console & PC) these days. On MP maps, massive sometimes is too big (ooh err missus!).

But SP levels do seem very short. Maybe it's a rose tinted view of games gone by, but i'm sure even the basic campaigns (without side quest etc) used to take days if not weeks to complete. Now, the SP campaigns just feel tacked onto the MP games.

I played Halo 2 co-op on XBOX for a couple levels and blasted my way through the Halo 1 campaign on PC a couple times, but have no knowledge of multiplay. I think Halo has good simple shooter mechanics and gameplay that, while not much different from plenty of other, perhaps less popular PC games, just was made into a good console format.
I like Halo, but no more than Farcry, HalfLife2, Call of DutyUO, MaxPayne2 etc. Halo is a good condensation of FPS traits, but as much as it has borrowed, it has also influenced.
I really wanted Halo 2 for PC but I think it requires the Vista OS... and.... meh. Instead, I'll go find an old copy of Marathon and play a game that was probably UNDERappreciated a dozen years ago. Ahh yes, dual-wielding, secondary-fire, PHYSICS!, STORY!? impossible.

Creepiness? Condemned Criminal Origins is the best horror and scary game PERIOD!.
Action? Any other FPS does it better, muzzle flashes look like shit, everything to make a gun feel fun is ruined in that game.
Powers? Utter crap, doesn't belong in an FPS. Like fucking energy blasts? Grow the fuck up kids.
That's all, no multiplayer so even if the game was completely PERFECT from top to bottom the best score it should possibly fuckin' get is a fuckin' 5/10 because it's only half a game, Condemned was the best single player game I've ever played, but it's still only half a game, Bioshock is shit.. they barely worked on it as they did not make the engine themselves either, it would only take a team 4-6 months to make, utter CRAP.

why would bungie change the best part about the game, the gameplay, so that's the same. then there's so many more weapons, vehicles, powerups....not to mention FORGE for F's sake it's fun as shit. I mean everyone mad at Halo 2's ending cause it needed to continue. and now every loose end is tied up and people still arn't satisfied.o btw at the end of the credits it shows master chief and cortana are still alive in space.....some people would not like the ending no matter what it was...lets see what would you rather have happened.

-BTW the last part of the last level was THEE FUNNEST/FUNNIEST THING EVER with co-op just pedal to da medal warthogs with shit exploding everywhere unexpected holes and jumps way up in the air....we died probably at least 20 times during that, but the cool thing is is that it was so incredilbly fun that I didn't get the least bit frustrated.


p.s.- I made a custom variant of the gametype "infection" called nowhere to hide....it is EPICLY epic....so is mongoose VIP rocket races (if anyone knows what that is)

I played Bioshock and I don't know why everyone likes it, seriously I'd rather go play fucking soldat!! That game was utter crap and I went and got store credit back and just bought Company of Hereos Oposing Fronts, everyone thinks Bioshock is so &quot;Innovative&quot; and such, what's different about it?
Creepiness? Condemned Criminal Origins is the best horror and scary game PERIOD!.
Action? Any other FPS does it better, muzzle flashes look like shit, everything to make a gun feel fun is ruined in that game.
Powers? Utter crap, doesn't belong in an FPS. Like fucking energy blasts? Grow the fuck up kids.
That's all, no multiplayer so even if the game was completely PERFECT from top to bottom the best score it should possibly fuckin' get is a fuckin' 5/10 because it's only half a game, Condemned was the best single player game I've ever played, but it's still only half a game, Bioshock is shit.. they barely worked on it as they did not make the engine themselves either, it would only take a team 4-6 months to make, utter CRAP.

I don't think that, I was just having fun, both me and Dark, I for one don't think Halo sucks at all, but this guy is just a fucking idiot. It was 12AM, people get bored.
