But yes, I've seen a couple women play but they usually don't talk over the mic unless they absolutely need to. After they do, of course, you get the OTHER guy who thinks he is being funny by going "HOLY CRAP A GIRL IS HERE" in a sarcastic way in order to look like he is making fun of people who actually do that, but really making a fool of himself. Then the next guy comes in with his "Don't treat women like that, they just want to play the game". Usually the "smart" women don't fall for this classic Super Sensitive and Defensive Guy act. But sometimes they appreciate it and the defensive guy sucks up to her the rest of the game, until he eventually gets added to the Friends-List then accomplishes everything he's ever wanted in life. Every once in a while you get some guy who thinks women shouldn't be playing games, and not be on the same team as him. This guy is usually gonna be un-interested in getting her to IM pics of her boobs, and more interested in winning the game and making the woman feel sexually harassed by making several boob/ass/pussy jokes. I rarely see people like that though.

I have around 10 friends on xbox that a girls, I invited all of my l4d friends once, including a few girls. And guess what happened? Only the girls joined. they all joined around the same time, and all went "hey shadow!" Then they all went silent for a second, and started asking each other if they were kids, each responded no, and stated they were girls. They had a good laugh, and then it went silent again. I was quiet the whole time, kinda laughing. And then one of them asked if I was a pervert since only girls joined, asking if I only invited girls. I told her no, but she gave me crap about it the whole time. One of the funniest and fun games I have ever had on l4d. Girls are (usually) way more laid back in gaming.

Back on topic, i have played with females and USUALLY its a normal expeience. I have never played with the infamous "Super Girl" that people keep mentioning and most are just average. Im just tired of the "look at me im a chick and i think its cool to be a bitch." (insert dumbass and dick for chick and bitch for the male version) enjoy your lonely lives since you think its "cool" to be an asshole.

You seem to be implying that every girl plays the same way, and that no girl is capable of being a great player no matter what, not saying I'm the best or anything but damn, other girls can't be? In all seriousness, though, the female gamers I know personally, for the most part, could kick my ass fairly consistently. It's not necessarily that women are better players, but they have to be able to own to get pricks like me to stop picking on them.

Yeah too much emphasis is put on girl gamers in my opinion. For gaming to be entirely unsexist it shouldn't even be raised as an issue if there is a girl gamer knocking about, just accepted as a prett uninteresting fact. For example, anyone heard of the 'Fragdolls'? They're a team of girl gamers, all busty or good looking, corporate backed and apparently not exaclty fanastic at playing games. It's these groups that stereotype and give a bad name to female gamers, which is pretty crap all things considering

However, I don't think we'll ever get rid of those drooling idiot teenage boy gamers who get hyper and start drooling at the merest scent of a girl gamer playing with them. Now they give us guys a bad name too...

Agreed. I play with anyone who can hold their own.

Few of my teammates are 13-15 guys and it doesn't bug me in the least since they can hold their own in combat.

We also have a girl from scotland and again, IDRC, she can play, thats all thats important to me.

My only thing is that the girsl seem to not use their mics even when I tell them IDC, just play. Same with the 13-15 boys. IDC if you sound like a sissy, just play the damn game and communicate wqhen you get nailed.

I think it is just a matter of girl gamers not being all too common until recently, currently sitting at about 40%, some guys just probably aren't used to it which is fine imo just don't be a douche about it lol. Give it a few years and the stigma will likely be gone.

Exactly, it's annoying because they just sit there and type out "HELP!" and in utter chaos, it's hard to pay attention to that....
