Planet Terror and Death Proof are both awesome. Went to see them in the theatre when it first came out.

I liked Planet Terror but I walked out of Death Proof. I was tired of 4 girls sitting around a table talking about raves and almost falling in ditches,

Yea Death Proof lost my attention. I guess sex doesn't sell as much as they'd like it to.

lmfao yeah. Quentin fucked that one up. As a director I wanna be more like Robert Rodriguez and Edgar Wright.

Quentin is a self-righteous prick. He's a terrible actor but insists in being in his movies. His face is so out of place that it actually distracts me away from the story of the movie. And to be honest, his movies are not that great. Pulp Fiction was cool... but thats because of the cast.

hmm...I watched some trailers and red some previews. Planet Terror seems to be a bit TOO cheesy to me...

Reviving an old topic.

Planet terror just came out here and i just ifnished watching it then

I fucking loved it !

You know thoughs movies where its so bad that its good.

I enjoyed every minuet of it lol, especially the Mexican thing at the start.

The zombie bubble popping bit is fucking rank tho. that was seriously disgusting.

How dare you not mention From Dusk Til Dawn. One of the best movies ever made.

As for Planet Terror, its good but its mostly a lot of killing and corny jokes. Death Proof is meant for chicks more than anything else. I think it was about two hours long and about an hour and 15 minutes of it are women talking abou their life. The rest is probably what I thought it was going to be more like from the trailers with the CAR THAT IS DEATH PROOF. But no, its women talking.

I liked planet terror it was a corney over the top zombie movie which was what it was supposed to be. as for death proof yes there was alot of talking but I still found it good (towards the end that is), if more of the movie was like the ending where he was killing people that it could have been better.

Planet terror was ok/poor but death proof SUCKED hard, if you want to watch a good kinda recent film the departed kicks ASS.

Well Planet Terror is really at its heart a comedy making fun of old 70's low budget horror flicks. Its kind of enjoyable if you view it as that. Kind of weird though how its apparently set in the present day since they are sending text messages an talking about Osama Bin Laden lol.

As for Death Proof its more of an artsy film in the style of Pulp Fiction. If you don't like Quentin Tarantino's style of having lots of dirty conversation with the occasional violent action scene you wont like it. Only thing I didn't like about it was how Kurt Russels character does a 180 from being a bad ass to a wuss.

Machete was the best part of Planet Terror, "wheres my daughter?!" Machete gets all the action!

I would be surprised if they actually made Machete. I mean they basically showed the whole movie plot in the preview. When I imagine was intentional as a joke.

If it does get made I wonder if its really going to be rated X. Also I wonder if perhaps they might make a sequel to Death Proof. Since stuntman Mike said he had a brother. His brother might be crazy too an want revenge lol.
