We'll be running a playtest of my custom campaign every night at 5pm pst from tonight through friday. We'll be playing Versus primarily, but Coop is possible.

If you don't live on the US west coast google a time zone calculator to find out what time the playtest is for you. Four out of six maps are available for playtesting. This is the first time 3 of the maps have been seen by anyone.

If you'd like to join, friend and/or message me at http://steamcommunity.com/id/Felios.

And yeah, we DEFINITELY need to enable [IMGS] tags.... It's either hyperlinks or full-size images blowing up my post.

Your map looks nice, but you need to mess with the lighting in some of the areas. Amazing level structure though!

What exactly needs to be fixed with the lighting? It's relatively incomplete(light models missing etc) but the lights are generally where I think they should be. What do you think should change? Better yet, join us and tell me throughout.

I just find the light to be missing in some areas, not as in too dark, but as in atmosphere, which is the hardest thing to create in games. your lights are where it lights up your path. But without much light, the whole area get's 1 tone if you know what I am saying, but with multiple lights, some brighter than others, some that flicker, and some with different shades of colors, it removes the feeling of static, and if arranged right you can create negative space to focus the player on certain areas.
Example of negative space.

By creating darker areas than others, it forces the player's eyes to what you want them to look at.

oh, that. Yeah, I count that as detailing. Right now the maps are lit only as an approximation of what they will be, and to light the way. Color temperature, exact placement, and brightness will be put in after I finalize the layout.

I've been working on a TF2 map in my spare time, but man, this got me excited for the updated sdk with l4d content. Great design from what i saw in the screens seen so far, i'll see if i can make it this week (probably closer to friday).

Another great test felios. I look forward to the next play test, a better understanding of the newer maps should help alot.

I'm guessing you have a server to play this map on? Do you have a place for users to download the map to play on it?

He probably tells you where when he gets a time for the playtest.

This man speaks the truth. Provided you have told me you're up for a playtest, about half an hour to 5 I'll be sending you a download link.

and yes, there is a server available for us to play it on.
