First Strike, Battlefield 2142 starwars mod now out

Soo, First strike is finally released. It's a mod for BF 2142 and it is really fun :D it has space fights to! its a total conversion, i recomend it :)

I saw this too, I was wondering what was included in this first release? I couldn't find anything out with a quick skim through their somewhat crowded website. Anyone know? Don't want to install BF2142 for potentially nothing.

Weelll.. Theres about 5 maps i think (i only played 5 so far) 2 being space battles, and one a night fight. Space maps have A-wings B-wings, Tie fighters, Tie Interceptors, Tie Bombers, and a gunship on each team you can also control.

5 Classes, Soldier, Support, Heavy, Medic and Officer (Can only be officer if your squad leader, and he gets like a enemy scanner and helpfull squad gear).

The only ground vehicles i have come across so far are the AT-ST Walker, the Speedbike and a kind of transport with a mounted turret.

It is a good mod, been working on it for a long time! i recomend it ;)

How? The new trilogy just told one time in the universe, there are countless books with different characters at different times. There won't be any new movies, though.

Seems to me that KoTOR(1 and 2), JK(JO too), X-wing vs. TIE fighter (Xwing, and TIE fighter included) completely passed you by.

Yay, I have been anticipating this mod for some time now. They said that space fights will demand less resources than the main game, because of the lack of any geometry; so it should be really smooth, hopefully...

Yea, space maps are basically a skybox of stars and a planet or two.. and a few ships that you are all using :P
but it looks nice!
