Hey again 411! I thought I'd do a bit of advertising for both eyeonus' hunter training map, and the video I just completed for it :)

It is a (near) flawless run of the extremely technical 'Hunter Training Map'. This map works as a training ground for hunters - every challenge has an instructional text box and video screen detailing how the challenge can be completed, and the techniques required. When I did that map, I got to the part where you had to avoid the moving bars and pounce Francis but the door never opened after I pounced Francis.

That's the spirit! I'm sure you'll find after a while spent beating the challenges your hunter skills will have jumped up ;)

There was no "door to open"- the map simply wasnt finished yet :) The map has only just recently (a few days ago) been completed - you will have been playing on a work-in-progress version.

Agreed.. I was surprised at how quickly I got the basics.. now I can actually do this!

You could try putting the game into slow-motion: host_timescale 0.6
(or something like that). That would make the challenge easier, then you could increase the speed back up to normal. Challenge 8 is a particularly nasty challenge to learn - it's probably the most difficult challenge until you get to 16+ (which is why it has a teleport! :))

I feel I'm taking too much credit here - the map was made by eyeonus, not me! I did do a pile of playtesting as it was being developed to give challenge ideas & feedback, and recorded footage for youtube & the in-game video screens, but I didn't map anything at all ;)

I was looking at learning how to make "smoothing" in my vids ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZoJPgdM3cX8&fmt=18 ) - to create some really sweet effects and camera angles and so on... but unfortunately it seems that you can't actually view YOURSELF using that tool, which makes me a sad panda :( In order to get nice footage of myself using the smoother I need to get someone ELSE to record while I'm playing and send me the demo.

Yes you can wall jump on xbox, but its just harder to do.

It's hard to get a hold on but once you do it is pretty simple. All you do is jump at a wall and when you hit it press RB and then A. I decided to learn a couple of weeks ago. It doesn't really help much . . . but it's fun.

Yeah I know its easy to do with RB button, but its harder to aim and have real good control. Especially if you are trying to go at an angle.

Yea I turned up the horizontal sensitivity to max so I can turn quicker and so it's easier to wall jump.

Out of curiosity, has anyone managed to complete this map using a gamepad? (I know there are crazy PC gamers out there using them instead of mouse & keyboard) :)
