coolest deaths

ok so after seeing the most epic death of a team that I could imagine on Saturday
(when a tank hit a forklift across the room, making a bloody PB&J out of 2 or 3 of the survivors in between a wall and the forklift)
so far seeing from the videos and looking at the environment, what are the the coolest/weirdest ways to go. and try to go more outside the box besides just being hung by a smoker,etc. and remember now after that one think of something that could kill a whole team in one shot....

I just thought of on with the animation when the character is slowly loosing grip on the side of a roof. your friend in 3,2,1 step away from rescuing him, right when he gets there, the guy gets pushed away into the darkness, having being pounced on by a hunter...

If a Tank were to jump from say a ledge and land on like 2 guys, would they die? And say the tank pushed some debris (Forklift) off a ledge onto survivors? I like them just being crushed by the tank though more. Maybe a tank bashes a guy onto a ledge were he hangs on and his team mate almost saves him but he falls, when the tank comes from behind and bashes him off the roof. That'd be fun.

I'm sure no death is cool, epic perhaps but not cool =] After watching of 28 minutes of video, I have to say everything is epic. This game looks insanely hard.

Hmm, epic death you say? how about!.

A tank smashes you from a rooftop, as you go flying off the edge a smoker grabs you in mid air, swinging you smashing into the side of the building and loosing its grip, as you fall as a boomer gets shot below you sending you back up into the air only to have a hunter pounce on you sending you crashing down into a horde of infected :P

after watching shrub's newest footage (5a and b) I have to say, getting helped up only to be puked on and have you and your rescuer blown up by a boomer. not cool, but definitely laugh worthy

I think it would be pretty sweet if a hunter could cling on to the bottom of the chopper while they are leaving, so while the survivors are thinking that they are safe and all that, all of a sudden one of their guys are ripped out of the chopper and he/she falls to their death. Schweeet >:D

Coolest death would have to be at full health, getting hit by a tank and thrown off the roof to your instant doom.

The Coolest and most Classic - You have lost contact with your mates and your in a dead end,As you start moving back the way you came from you start hearing the Screams from the infected, you dont have time to get away and you have to stand and fight. your mates are not too far away but they got a Tank to deal with. now theres hundreds of infected bursting right at you. The only thing you can do is to stand ground and bring as many of them as you can with you,Bam bam bam, your out,you start reloading but for no good, the infected is now pounding you to pieces. The infected lurks back into their hide outs when they are done and your mates finally comes to the rescue,tho, theres nothing to Rescue, its kinda to late.

That Imo would be awesome.

Hah oh yeah, you are chased inside a house by the hordes of infected and theres no way to fight them off so the only option except being Smashed to death is jumping out the window ^^ that would be cool to see from outside every1 goes like "Where's Shrubbery?!" and then like "GRAAAAGHHHH!!" *Crash* the windows shatters and they see you fall with arms swinging to the ground with a splashy splash followed by some infected who didnt have the time to stop ! awesome dude !

Deaths would be cooler if you could struggle, like mentioned in the "New Gameplay Mechanic" thread. Atleast then you'd have a chance for survival, think getting smashed to the ground, then beating the infected in the face until its dead. That of course only works if the infected can tackle and are on top of you, which they dont do, and if you could actually get up after falling down, which you cant (without the help of others).... so nevermind I guess. And it probably wouldn't make a difference if there were 10+. You also can't use primary weapons while on the ground, so beating it back with the but of your shotgun or rifle is out of the question, but would still look incredibly awesome, and feel exhilirating in-game I imagine.

Speaking of which, Left 4 Dead should have a "last stand" feature... where you could pull out a molotov or pipe bomb before you DIE, and light it... It'd be epic seeing a huge explosion, pushing dozens of infected back while your teammates can only look back in admiration at your sacrifice. Like wise, it'd be infinitely amusing forcing a survivor to light himself on fire as a 'last stand'.

Yeah that would be awesome,and one thing that would blow my head into pieces and make me sleep under my bed for 3 weeks would be, The Gameplay-action-press-a-button Feuture which Clive Barkers: Jericho Got, you know when anytime in in-game fire-fights if a monster gets to close they charge you grabs you and are about to impale you with their blades you Push Etc Right Arrow or Left Arrow and you Etc block the hit and hit him back until he dies,or at one point where one of the girls in the group gets blown away by a nade down on a "Dead" zombie which isnt dead and the zombie begins to try to bite her and hit her and then you need to push different buttons to block it and kill it , which IMO is fucking awesome,imagen an infected attack you like that , grabs you and starts pounding you and if you miss to click on a button he might get a hit on you or anything like that and when you push the right buttons you might like, smack him off you with the rifle and then Shoot / pound him to death,well, you get the idea ! that would surely make this game number 1

the coolest way is when yur in a alley and you start whit 4...... and end up alone!
the other surviveviors are gone whit out you knowing it! and there you stand all alone.... wondering what juts happend........ then you hear there screams .....then you got draged in to darkness........to return ass a mubleling badd ass infected

I had a dream about l4d last night, it was kinda funny.

For some reason we started at the top of this building and had to work our way down. And no later then 5 min into the game, one of the ppl got knocked out the window, quite funny. Now its just us 3 left and we are running down the fire escape, and all of the sudden a rock flies at us and destroys the ladder, and one of the ppl were on it and fell to their death. So me and the other dude climb back up into the building and as soon as we get back to the door, it burst open with infected, *Now I dont know how safe a fire escape with hundreds of people on it is, but it held us*. So my partner (who I believe was louis) was in front of me and was firing like crazy at the infected, so I take a few steps back cause he was gettin wild, and all of the sudden a tounge goes past my head and gets his neck (now me being the total douchebag that I am, laughed so hard in my dreams). I see a truck below us and that was taking off, but louis is still being chocked, so I ditch him and jump for the truck, heres the fucked up part of my dream.
As I jumped for the truck a hunter flies out a window and slams me to the ground, (which was suicide cause he died too) and I swear we hit the ground so hard that rubble rose from the ground. The impact was also so hard that I felt it in my dream and woke up.

This has happened to me sooo many times... For example: Once, I was dreaming of the most random thing, jumping on a trampoline. So as I was jumping, I was having tons of fun, and then... suddenly I accidently dove off my trampoline really high and BAM...hit my head so hard on the ground. I literally JUMPED in my bed, and my heart was pumping like crazy.

any ways, i agree with a lot of you on here about the coolest deaths.... LOL jumping out the window was hilarious... but i wanna see the one with the forklift. Etheallmighty
