Today, I have been bestowed with the Gift of HL2 EP1

It might sound silly, but german kids like me are having a tough time trying to get hold of a copy of 18+ gaming goodness.

Anyways, I imediately started downloading it and...

it stopped...

dead...

at 69%

Now I am sitting here and wondering if somebody - maybe god - thought "LOL, 69" when he killed my download.
I cannot describe the feeling of fail I am experiencing at this very moment.

In other words: FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK GODDAMNIT!!!

Same, a lot more interesting than anything else in that branch of study... Oddly enough I was reading up on War Atrocities on the Eastern Front in WW2, while at the same time having Superbad in another window but minimized. Let's just say everyone in that class thinks im the most horrible person ever for laughing my ass off in such a serious subject. My teacher is the funniest guy ever, best teacher I've ever had in the subject and in total. He's also my basketball coach... ANYWAY.

Should be said that unless your internet is fucked the download will eventually start again, so I don't see what you're worried about... and since it obviously wasn't fucked it must've been STEAM. In which case, like me, you should have gotten a message about it or something. It must be them preparing for the launch, and everyone giving away their Episode 1's. To sum that up, in won't just stop and never get going, that would defeat half the point of having STEAM in the first place.
