I can't even get passed the loading screen before I get this error:

Engine error:

Internal Driver error in IDirect3DDevice9::represent()

Could anyone help me out? Steams diagnostic ran clean through indicating no problems.

This is why console gaming > pc gaming.

Normally I would have gotten it for 360, but this was gifted from a friend.

Some people hate you Xerosnake. They say that you say that consoles are better than PC's every chance you get and that you always end up making a flame war. Unfortunately, it doesn't matter whether you are an ass or not. You see, your post helped nobody. It did not help Swat, and it made me angry. I will ignore your foolishness and leave it at consoles are different than PC's. But Swat, I suggest downloading your video card drivers. If that doesn't work, try reinstalling, or maybe setting the launch options to 800 by 600. Sure, it'll lower the resolution, but hey, you can still play. And by the way. Xerosnake, you are one of the largest detriments to society that has ever existed. Shame on you.

MODS
this is why pc gaming > console gaming

also, the millions of fun and free little programs you find everywhere.

I can only think to reinstall it through steam.

it seems oddly similar to my post but with more arguing.

Nemesis, you are wrong. The only reason PC gaming is better is because people like Xerosnake play more on the console. That and what you said. But yeah Swat tell us what else you've tried, etc.

EDIT: The only console games that you should EVER buy are the ones designed for the console. Orange Box? PC.

orange box is cool on the xbox, and I'm a pc player. (And I guess its just as cool on the pc)

I think the South Park flag is racist, but it is also part of history...

Don't re-install steam.

First off, download the latest drivers for your graphics card. Then, make sure you delete/unistall the previous ones and install the new ones.

See how that goes.

If you're running modified gaming drivers they sometimes have strange conflicts with certain games (i've had this problem)

If what Teknobry suggested doesn't work I suggest going into the launch options and putting "-windowed" or "-dxlevel 80" It may help your problem.

This is why console gaming > pc gaming.

Seriously, can we just ban this guy?

I don't think it is a video card issue, every other game is running perfectly fine (FEAR, WoW, etc). I tried again and this happened:

Also: Some leaders from the H.U.D eg - "Aux power" were being blured into bunch of dots and lines.

So after that, i exited out, and on my desktop was an error that was completly blank with an "okay" button lit up.

I hate computers =/
