How H O T is your 8800 running?

I have one computer with an 8800GTS 640mb, which I manually put the fan speed to 99%, idle it runs at 60 Celsius, my comp with the 8800GTX at 99% fan speed is idle at 68 Celsius

Somewhere around that, graphics cards run hot. I think the HD2900's run even much hotter than that.

At idle, my 8800 640 GTS runs at about 46 c. I'm using a fan speed controller ... and this is with all the voltages cranked way down, though there is still quite a bit of airflow (seven fans in my case, including PSU). It's been a while since I've monitored it under load, with all the fans roaring, so I can't give you a number in that regard.

My 320mb card runs at 47-51c. Stays pretty cool, due to this Antec case I imagine though.

Graphics card in my laptop (7950GTX) can hit 90degrees C when gaming, which is within tolerances.

Not 100% sure what temps the 8800 runs at, but it does run hotter than other cards.

From reading around, it seems to vary alot, with people reporting 70degrees idle and over 80 when under load.
Others are saying 40-50 at idle and 60odd at load.

Normally the card will throttle back to prevent overheating, so when framerates start dropping check the temp.
