from a cam to a pc?

Hi all,

I've seen many of you guys taking video of left 4 dead from your cam, to youtube.

My girlfriend have a good cam, mini DV with some of my band show recorded on it and she don't know how to take them to her computer. So maybe one fo you could explain that to me :)

I think I need a firewire plug on the computer... but thats all.

Ummm, I actually don't know.

I have the DVDRAM disk system.
