Max Payne 3

Hey everyone. I havent seen a thread on this new game so i thought: Why not? ;)

I just saw a slideshow of pictures for Max Payne 3, and Im completly stoked! I loved the first and second game to death som Im looking forward to it. It doesnt worry me so much that it takes place in San Paolo and that it is twelve years after Max Payne 2, the main thing im focused on is what they do with the storyline (which in my oppinion is bloody brilliant :P) I figure theres not going to be so many characters from the previous games (since its been twelve years and most of them are dead! :P (Partly thanks to Max)) Its marked for a winter release which is very cool since this is the first time ive heard of it.

Game Informer had a preview in their last issue and IGN wrote an article about it:

The setting and character changes are all fine with me, but after seeing the screenshots and reading about the cover system and "environmental bullet time", I'm a bit disappointed. This doesn't look like the first two MP games at all and it's not being developed by Remedy. Hard to tell yet, but my first impression is "generic TPS".

Yeah I tought so too, thats why Im a bot worried about the storyline since Sam Lake isnt writing it.

This is pure bull. If they wanted change Max Payne that much, why didin't they make a completely whole new story with a different character and their own name? They could spin-off more installments after that plus it would be financially easier as they wouldn't be expecting high expectations from their fanbase to make it nearly perfect. They better not fail with this.....

Right right. Im hoping the same. Im praying that Ill still be able to consider Max Payne as one of the greatest stories of all time after this one. At first glance though, its not looking so good.

I absolutely loved the first two and regardless of what it looks like I am buying it the day of release. The first two were spectacular.

He reminds me more of Bruce Willis now than max tbh

I hope it is good and come with mod support too. Thats what made MP1 and 2 good the mods after. (even though most were matrix ones)

I will hold my opinion till i see more and actually play the game like I usually do

Release date has been pushed back to early 2010 so anyone that is in the same boat as me and is really looking forward to this game is going to have to wait a few more months before we can get our hands on it.
