Woo! Today I went to ITT Tech. I told them my history with games, and the courses I had taken in High School. I'm still a Senior right now, but as of 2nd semester, I'll be taking college courses for Game Design! It's my dream to be a game designer. I'm taking level design, modeling, storyboarding, the works. All of it. A Bachelor's degree.. I'm so happy.

Well.. It might be hard to now, dontleave. I took two courses every summer for summer school to get my required courses out of the way. I replaced all of those courses with the technology courses that my school had to offer (with the now open slots). So.. with all that extra time, by the end of my senior year.. I will have taken every course my school has on technology except Multimedia Presentations (working with Flash and stuff of the like). The test to get in was actually.. really, really easy. I'm sure most of the people on the boards here could do it without a problem.

Uh.. that's all I can think of right now.

Edit: Oh, and I'm a teacher's assistant right now for Networking class for first hour. I passed it last year with a 97.

I said told them I came from Edwardsville High and they knew exactly which school I was talking about because we have a lot of high-ranking students. I once had the ambition to enter the game industry... but I began to lean away from that career a few years ago. Took some 3D modeling and Animation courses and LOVED it, but there really is no work in that area here in Oklahoma.

I know what my dream game is. It sounds cheezy, but I used to be in a Star wars roleplay on this website and it was so amazing. We all made deep characters and it wasn't just a newb fest. It was almost like a video game with a storyline itself and it was amazing. I want to create that, but as a video game. I want to make a MMORPG that plays more like Jedi outcast, but has fighting like the real SW movies, saber fighting at least. You'd be able to create your character from scratch, and adjust every little thing. Even be able to create your own clothes, and add designs and patterns. You'd have to be trained to become a Jedi or Sith.

Everything I'm thinking in my head can't even be expressed. It looks so amazing in my head but so hard to write out. Man, that would be an amazing game to play for years to come. I can just imagine intense saber battles lasting for minutes, just fighting all over the place. AHHHHHH, too many thoughts to write down!

Anyway, yea. That would be so damn amazing =]

I have been pushing the idea of a completely free roaming zombie game since I arrived, and hearing that it is, in fact, being made (by Hideo Kojima no less) makes my day to a degree unimaginable by humanity.

EDIT: aw man, you play as the humans, my proposal had more to do with you playing as a zombie and infecting an entire city (look up the game possession, even though it is no longer in development, it fits my idea perfectly)

Zombie game chatter aside, possession looked like poop btw, plus the concept of being a zombie isn't intriging, nor does it sound half as intense as being the survivor

I took two courses every summer for summer school to get my required courses out of the way.

Im considering doing this, im on the right track now ( I have room for everything, almost everything)... but next year I might have to drop two courses I was looking forward to to fit my wanted courses. If I did do this I'd take Math 12 and probably Chemistry 12, which frees up room for the easier classes the following school year. That being said I have no idea how to go about this, I'll make sure to find out before the end of the year. In the mean time, I get to think about the loads of time ive wasted. I've already reached highest level on stupid technology education courses (Electronics and Mechanics 11)...

Ideally I would have liked to taken Art 12... but that was going no where... And to recieve proper credit in music courses, (guitar 11,12) which I could have just swam through.

Out of the possible 8 courses 5 are for future in game design... 1 is a requirement (Eng12), leaving me 2.... Math 12(couldnt hurt) and Bio12 (I really enjoy) BUT if I take Math 12 and Chemistry12 in the summer and get it over with (if thats possible, and by possible I mean within my limits, i probably cant take double class time on one subject, i can barely keep my attention in normal class time) I'm open for Bio and History both classes I enjoy, making my final year a cake walk. Except English... f*** this language. That being said I might want to take math and eng12 during the summer, in case I phail, unlikely, but incase i dont get what i want

Pretty sure that settles it... prepare for a summer of mind boggling numbers and gut wrenching isotopes. My last concern would be that I was the only person there...

ALTERNATIVELY - I can go without a an off period... which is ridonkulous, the only reason im making honor roll this year is because of the fact that I have first period off, leaves me time to do my homework. But if I did, I could finish everything, in one year. Yay. (Given I got acceptable [by my standards] grades, and I readjust myself to wake up at 5AM and go to sleep at 5PM)

That aside, if the Zombie game is by Hideo Kojima, then it cant really go wrong. Actually nvm, it can go horribly wrong.

At that stage they become undead and can't control their character - all they can do is modify the camera angles... They'd see their character attacking humans and have to pay just to watch! Atleast if Kojima were to screw up a game, it wont be MGS4

Just as an update, I completed first quarter with my lowest grade being a 98%. My next quarter consists of Modeling in 3D, Math 1, and Intro to Design.

I'm excited, I've always wanted to learn how to model. You bet that if I learn how to do it well I'll be trying to do SOMETHING at least for Left 4 Dead.

NO Please god no! DO NOT GO TO ITT-TECH. I am currently a student and it was the worst mistake of my life and everyone else there. If I can do one thing in my life its to stop any other unsuspecting students from going to their school of smoke and mirrors.

ITT Tech's Degree is worthless, its not even worth the paper its printed on and not to mention the 60k in debt you get for it.

Please withdraw if you can, do anything you can to get out of there. Don't take my word for it, take the many words of students on:

Students from all around the states that want to Class Action ITT and their bullshit ways. Register to read it all, ITT started kicking us out of school for being members so we hid most topics and threads from guest view.
