actually in all seriousness seeing as I HAVE played L4D, and ON A PC, aiming isn't really a big part of it, it doesn't matter how good you are with headshots when infected die in a few hits anyway: it has more to do with how good ur thinking/strategies are to survive. when there's 20 zombies all around you and ur shooting wildly from the ground whats the differenece?

EDIT: it's like the same thing when people said that the harder levels on portal would be too hard on a console...it's not really if you know how to control it good, I almost have all golds.

And aiming will have a huge part to do with it, especially because you will often need to turn around 180 degrees to hit infected (mostly bosses as well) from behind you. Forget about doing that fast enough on a controller.

And no, Left 4 Dead will NOT be cross-platform, so don't worry about it.

The difference is when i change the sensitivity settings of my mouse to around 5, i will have ploud through the 20 infected, while you will have killed 2 and have the other 18 kicking the shit out of ya...

Im not saying the game won't be enjoyable on the 360, and a lot of games are better on the 360 then on pc, but i wouldn't play this game on anything but a pc, and thats just my opinion:)

Im getting L4D for both. And I dont think steam would put it on the 360 if they didn't find a way to make it work. Don't you think they thought about this? They are STEAM people, the creators of some of the best games ever. Im pretty sure their aware.
And btw, I wasn't even aware L4D is cross-compatible. Has it been announced?

Actually Zombie, i dont think you will be able to connect to pc gamers at all. WIndows live is used on another server, if it was used on Xbox live it would lag alittle from over use of the server.

All it comes down to is that you will pick good teammates. If they can use thumbsticks to great effect, pick them.

Now, on to the real stumbling blocks for cross-play.

DON'T GIMP ANYBODY. We do NOT need a Shadowrun thing here.

DON'T charge PC users Xbox fees.

DON'T give anyone Auto-Aim. It doesn't add anything of value.

If those points are all in line, then I would happily play alongside my console brethren. I know I can't use thumbsticks as well as I can use a mouse, but if they can, I salute them.

anyway, now that they've basically worked out all the kinks in fps wii gameplay in medal of honor heroes 2, there shouldn't be any control problems, and yes, the wiimote is as accurate and fast as a mouse. It's actually faster and more accurate when I used it in WoW with my bluetooth pc stuff.

The German market is the only one world wide, where PC games are still selling better than console games. Look at the US; in the year 2006, 84% of all sold games where console games. ;)
