Ok, so I've just started to get bored of all of my games, I don't have many from this year (Have Prototype, Empire Total War and played Call of Juarez and returned it). So I'm looking for another game to get.

I just got Banjo Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts for my birthday and I don't really like it, so I'm going to trade it in for another game. So I pretty much have any free game I want (costing the regular price). So peoplez, recommend away!

P.S. I have all consoles (including PC), and I might be wanting some old games as well as new, I would type up all the games I have but that would take forever.

If you like open world games, Red Faction is supposed to be one of this year's better games. I'm waiting for the PC version, but it got some excellent feedback so far. Also, inFamous on the PS3.

Yeah they were the two main ones on my list, only problem is if I get Red Faction I won't be able to play online and if I get inFamous I won't be able to play often. And Elmo I have played Assassin's Creed, it glitched on me so I couldn't finish the game >_> But I'll most likely get that again, just not ATM.

Red Faction Guerrilla is fantastic. The single player is very Saints Row-esque in the large open world and mission diversity, though most problems tend to be solved by blowing shit up. No arguments here, however. Multi is great but I noticed even in the first week after release there were a surprising number of cheaters. That combined with the fairly poor hit detection makes some matches really frustrating when one guy keeps sniping you from across the map, in mid air, through a wall, using just an assault rifle. Also jetpack+mine spam sucks, and that sledgehammer is ridiculously overpowered regardless of how satisfying it is to use.

Try the demo for Trine, while you're at it. I found it surprisingly enjoyable.

Wha...... what the, the only way to finish the game is die?

On topic:

Seems like we have similar tastes, so I'd say an older game like Doom 3 (if not already beat) It's weird because even though it's a linear, and most of the times, scripted, it has replay value.

Multiplayer isn't bad either, but the player count is lacking.

What the fuck?

The demo for the game seems to look like an old woman walking down a path, some guy singing in German to you, then the said old woman walking away again?

Damn, Germans need to work on their idea of exactly what fun is I think....

I was looking at Dark Sector (really underrated game) or Fallout 3 because of the sale...

Medieval 2 and Medieval Kingdoms sell in a bundle for about 30 or so bucks, and you're getting at least 200 hours of Single Player, not counting the multiplayer.

I had thought about getting Medieval 2 GOld (it was on sale at EB), but I still haven't got everything out of Empire so I think I'll give that one a pass.

Seems like we have similar tastes, so I'd say an older game like Doom 3 (if not already beat) It's weird because even though it's a linear, and most of the times, scripted, it has replay value.

Multiplayer isn't bad either, but the player count is lacking.

I have that too, I found it very repetitive, and the scares were pretty cheap, mainly just all stuff jumping out from behind doors and what-not.

As far as the old games go, I never got into Diablo so I suppose I have to try that one out, and the first two Fallouts are ner impossible to find outside of Steam (keep in mind if I buyonlineit won't be free), the only time I saw Fallout 2 was for $30 at EB, and even though it's a brilliant game (Yes I have played them but never owned them), I'm just not paying EB $30 for it.

RE5 or resistance 2

I have both of those (can't finish RE5 though, it glitched on the lst boss battle :\)

I can get your FEAR2 for only 20 bucks or so

I would gladly purchase that, keeping in mind I can't pay for anything online as of yet.

I'll just name some stuff off from mine randomly:

Crysis
Company of Heroes
Heroes of might and magic 3 (older game, but fun nonetheless)
Riven
Dark Sector (extremely underated game)
Splinter Cell games
The Conduit
Destroy All Humans! (1,2,big willy unleashed, path of the furon)

All excellent

Crysis - Have it (One of my favourite games of all time, mod for it too :D)
Company of Heroes - Have it
Heroes of might and magic 3 (older game, but fun nonetheless) - Have all in the series (one of my favourite series of all time)
Riven- No idea what that is, I'll go check it out
Dark Sector (extremely underated game) - Never really looked at that much, I'll go have a gander
Splinter Cell games - Have them
The Conduit - Heard it was a pretty average shooter, and I'm not sure if it's released in Australia yet
Destroy All Humans! (1,2,big willy unleashed, path of the furon) - Played them, didn't really like them

:P I have a pile of games literally half a metres tall, half a metre wide and half a metre long sitting next to me as I type, and that's just my PC games!

And whoever said the Metal Gear Solid series, I'm currently searching for those games, and have been for a few years. It's the price to pay when you come in late to the party. I have 2, 3 and 1 are extremely hard to find, and I don't wanna get 4 until I have the others.

I'm getting interested in Civ 4 again, almost exclusively for a mod that makes the barbarians into zombies. If the zombies kill a unit, it also becomes a zombie, and if the zombies capture a city, it spawns moar zombies. It also redoes pretty much everything else in Civ, like the tech tree and the factions for a post-apacolyptic feel.

Sounds like uber fun. I'd love to co-op with other factions against the zeds until I see a good opportunity for a backstab.

My brother bought that, I play it abit, but not too much.

I'm happy with my purchases ATM, Fallout took awhile to get into (it's been a long, long time since I've played a retro RPG), but once I got into the side quests I started to love it. Civ 4 is all fun and good but you can get all of the Galatic Civilisation games, which are in my opinion, much much more interesting.

You'll be lucky to find them in a shop however and seeing as you can't buy anything online (Via Impulse) I'd go for Civ 4 atm.

Baulders gate 1-2 is pretty amazing game, brilliant dialog, cool backstories with all of the characters tacticle combat.

Supreme commander is quite a bit of fun

Spelunky took up about 3 - 4 days of my time, very very good fun, especially if you are a fan of exploration in games as much of the game can change with just a little experrimentation. To explain it quickly, it's a platforming Nethack.
