Valve sent out a press release with a screenshot. The new campaign Swamp Fever will be at Comic-Con! (July 23-26) This is most impressive L4D2 image I have seen so far. The lightning looks awesome! :)

July 10, 2009 - Do you want to get your hands on Left 4 Dead 2 before it launches in November? Then get yourself to San Diego Comic Con later this month. Valve has announced that it's going to have the game in attendance, and it's going to be fully playable in the EA Gaming Lounge Presented by Xbox 360. On top of that, Valve is going to unveil the second of the five campaigns in the game: Swamp Fever.

This is the first time Swamp Fever will be shown, as Valve showed off the New Orleans-based level The Parish at the closed-to-the-public E3 show. So this is basically the first time the general public will be able to get their hands on the game. And Valve isn't done yet, as it says it'll unveil more of the new items that are in the game.
L4D2 will be playable from 2 pm to 9 pm on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, and between 12 pm and 5 pm on Sunday. The EA Gaming Lounge is in the Hilton San Diego Gaslamp Quarter Hotel on 401 K Street.

valve still has 4 months till november, and i'm sure they will get it done by then. With swamp fever announced, that leaves 3 other campaigns w/ special infected to reveal and i'm sure there are more than 3 events in the next 4 months. They'll get it done, but they are just taking their time.

You know when I first heard about L4D I was mad too. But then I put things into perspective. It's a video game. It will be fun, no matter if it improves on much. L4D was fun, so some new official maps and some nice reskins will be nice. Like I said, it's just a video game; the world will not end. Sure, maybe it's not what you would hope for from a sequel (especially from Valve), but hating the game is simply stupid.

Honestly, $50 isn't that much money. Just buy it and have some fun. I'm sure there's been a game that wasn't worth your $50 before. And I'm sure that it wasn't the end of the world. Time passes, you get your money back (hopefully if you have a job) and your life continues.

Conclusion: It's really not a big deal.

So we could just combine the old and new into one big blob. playing new campaigns with old chracters, using old weapons in new campaigns, having new weapons and infected in old campaigns. not only would the orginal four campaing in the first left 4 dead would be a whole new expeince, but then, you also go the five campaigns from the second l4d!!

Yes but it would most likely be 1gig+, and it adds up very quickly.. we only have 120 gig, for EVERYTHING, and most games have addons as it is.

I've got a few videos, some music, 3 accounts, a ton of saved data, at least 5 gigs of DLC, and about 6 games downloaded to the hard drive (up to 9 gigs each), and I've still got an absolute ton of space.

Well I tend not to have 100 games to constantly switch between, so when I get (for instance) Left 4 Dead 2, I'll uninstall Left 4 Dead. It's a very simple process. Also, I have not used "up at least half your hard drive", considering I refered to having "an absolute ton of space".

Files on a hard drive aren't permanent, you know. You act as if I said at the end "and I'm never deleting any of it ever". Same rules apply for PC users as well, everyone ends up freeing up some space once in a while, to make room for something else.

Where has he said half? Allot of what he has isn't mandatory either. As long as you don't to install every game you buy (you really don't need to at all) I'd say a 120 gig HDD is just fine.

I don't own a 120gig though, so any game with DLC is a PC buy for me :)

true. it would now have 3 new specials and possible 4 and new weapons and ammo. I think valve is going to make l4d a more horror and gritty experience than l4d2 which is just going to be animated like tf2 and is going to have more "realistic" guns.
