Don't just tease us like that, tell us how it is. Specifically how the co-op play is/how many you can have in a group/how the boss fights are/what the other 4 classes not in the demo are like.

Well the truth is that i havent installed it yet xD
its freaking 4 gigs to download and whit my speed it takes week, so my classmate got beta too and hes burning the exe to hes dvd so i can play tomorow whit him, i will inform to you peeps how the game is at least eeh in the end of this week or erlier.
I want drool on it so >;D

I've been trying to download the freakin demo all damn day it keeps fuckin freezing
I'm downloading the beta files as I type. Got in with my $5 pre-order.
Asura, I'm gonna roll a Marksman or an Engineer on the "Hellgate Test Center" server, if you're looking to party up.

Cool, well shit thing is that beta is ending in Oct 27 so damn, and im at girlsfriend place so i cant play. I played around 10 hours last day. And i played as Marksman in Beta server.
Would gladly party whit ya but cant enymore till i get the real game >:P
But yeah, the co-op system is samekind as in Diablo 2. I havent been in big party yet, alweys had 1-3 member partys. Usualy i played alone, and the combat system is awsome in marksman >;D fps mode wtf! you can use 3th person wiev too.
I The boss fight are fun and hard, at least the second hell place where i was, i though it was easy. Well it was till we killed that demon and those weird statues started move and 6 fucking big monsters kileld me 5 times and my friend, we killed em and got alot good items.
There is difirent color types for armors/wepons.
White - Standard Items
Green - Enhanced Items (1 star)
Blue - Rare Items (2 star)
Orange - Legendary Items (3 star)
Yellow - Unique Items (5 star)
like in diablo.
Skill tree is much like diablo style. You can make kinda good and difirent characters whit skills. And engineer is a fun class, droids looks fun >;D
Too bad that cant enjoy much of the game now till i get it.
But i can say that try it yourself in singleplayer, but the true thing is in multiplayer.
Good dame for diablo fans.

Well. I've played to level 5 (almost 6), just reached Covent Station and I'm already hopelessly addicted to this game. I'll definitely be picking up the retail.

I am a alpha tester now beta tester and have been playign for about 2 and a half monthes....
Great game love it got CE paid in full and cant wait.
The demo is shit and DOES NOT show the game for what it is.
If anyone remembers the Diablo Demo geez what crap and diablo didnt become DIABLO until LoD anyway.
Agreed. The demo is total crap. You rarely see an MMO/RPG demo that does a game justice. There's just not enough time to sink your teeth into the juicy white meat of it.
To be fair, the gameplay is basically the same up to the point when you deliver the 8 whatevers to the Tech dude, but once you're through that gate, it's totally different and waaaaaay better.
I'm loving my Engineer, and plan to reroll him on the 31st.
Sad I'll be losing my Unique Vulcan flame Bolter, though. Found it when I was level 4. =)

I must admit, I was so excited for it, and after installing the inexplicably large beta, I am VERY disappointed. It just isn't as good as I expected. Oh well.

It's free, but there's an option to subscribe. Eventually, subscribers will be showered with uber swag and additional content and stuff ... but for now, there's no real benefit to subscribing that I can see.

Well you can play the game for free, but if you pay you get more stuff and better stuff that free players do.
And deek, its sucks to me too :D cuz i found couple legendary rocket launchers what totally kicked ass >;D and my upgraded machine gun thingy was cool too, i did not have time to test engineer class. Well i see when game is in stores and il buy it so we can rumble together, oh and i hitted lvl 8 omigosh!

haha I fell just short of level 8, the servers when down before I dinged it.
Apparently, Flagship intends to bring the beta servers back up prior to actual release, giving betatesters a slight headstart, though mostly for people who cannot get their hands on the game right away (delayed delivery, etc). They'll be up for about a week. Characters rolled on the beta servers will then transfer to retail servers. Very cool.
Not sure when this is going to happen, I figure sometime today. I'll be attempting to log in every few hours, until they're up.

I have it on pre-order, but the outlets here (Northern Canada) rarely receive copies of new releases until at least 3 or 4 days after the actual street date (usually), which is why I'm pretty psyched for the extended beta server playtime. If you roll a character on Shulgoth, we can hook it up ... but seeing as your in Finland, we might not be on the same server. =P

i think i should, gives alot extra.
Probably not at first. Flagship has a ton of future content planned for subscribers ... but atm, it's basically a larger storage locker and the ability to colorize your name. Whoopie. Once they start releasing subscriber only loot, levels, quests, etc - then I'll likely get on board.

Well it gives you 24 characters slots too, and you can make guilds and join better pvp places and better items or stuff-
Yeah, would be cool to have the collectors edition. Cant find it though =O
And i stil gotta think the Marksman build better. I want sniper build, 1 shot bosses >;D

I'd like to say that the items you get for subscribing are not "better". Just "different". They actually said that in an interview. They don't want people to have to pay to enjoy the game.

This game is amazing. I have a level 9 Summoner, and a level 5 Engineer. I just can't get over how awesome the little dudes are for both guys.

this game was crap IMO. It hasnt added anything new to the genre, and its just so boring. The game lags cause of the graphics, and the graphics arent even great anyway. The only thing that makes the game look good is the sky, and the little specs of ash floating around. This game is bad, and I wont be being it

I admit the graphics are not great. But they do look pretty sweet when there are spells and gunfire going everywhere when you are playing with other people. They are definitely better than most other RPG games out currently, other than Guild Wars.
Side note: And no matter how many problems this game has right now.. every MMO type game had it's issues. Hell, even WoW had problems when it first came out. So.. to be completely honest, even with the issues it has right no.. I still keep playing the hell out of this game. Pure hack and slash fun at it's finest in my opinion.
Though I usually don't approach a new game with the mindset, I appreciate Hellgate moreso for it's potential than its current incarnation. I think it's a fantastic foundation for Flagship to build upon. It's a fun game in it's own right as is, though a little thin in terms of gameplay depth. If - and only if - Flagship delivers on their lofty content promises, Hellgate will really start to shine. I have no intention of subscribing at this point, though I find it entertaining enough to play through at least once, and I can suffer pretty much anything with a strong co-op component ... so we'll see what happens.

I really liked this beta. But I have to say Guild Wars is a lot more fun. And better graphics. And less lag. And more goodness. And no payments. And Idk I haven't played the real Hellgate.
